While the gazebo at the center of the park has a wonderful colonial feel to it, and the recently crafted water fountains provide a nice misty breeze during a summer day, the open park isn't something I wouldn't consider a must see destination in Oak Bluffs (like the Gingerbread Cottages). If you are exiting the ferry from Woods Hole to... More

After struggling through the crowds on Circuit Ave, we so appreciated this open space. To have s nice place to spread a blanket and relax in town is heaven. As one of the three main tourist towns on the island, Oak Bluffs has done the best job preserving open space within the 'city.'

Beautiful and so iconic "America". I felt like I was back in time and could just imagine all the 4th of July celebrations that occur in that park.

Ocean Park has a scenic, sweeping lawn with a gazebo and a fountain and beautiful ocean views. It's the perfect place for a walk or a picnic.

Toured the park to and from a walk on the beach each day. Very open and welcoming. The perfect thing to see when you first arrive on the island.

I was so tired from the ride from Edgartown to Oak Bluffs and this was such a great spot to put the bike down at last! A great breeze, ocean view, and people watching. I just wish that there was some shade then it would be perfect.

The town created and maintains an essential sanctuary here. Escape the hubbub of nearby Circuit Avenue and relax! Wading pools, sprinklers, wide ocean views and a bandstand where local folks play their favorite instruments once or twice a week in town concerts... What more "real Vineyard" could you ask? Our children first ran circles around the bandstand as toddlers and... More

Beautiful park overlooking the ocean. This is a wide expanse of open lawn with the town & ferry pier in view. Fun for the whole family.

You have the ocean, pretty flowers, possibly live music at the gazebo, a fountain, cool houses all around, and space to run with the kids...all is good! Shopping and eating nearby also.

A large park space in the center of Oak Bluffs. Not much going on here, but I wanted to write a bit about Oak Bluffs being a very old fashioned spot to visit. It could really use a coat of paint and a facelift. It's one thing to take a trip back in time to a qualnt 1960's spot, but... More
