This is a beautiful little gem close to the downtown in North Adams. There are miles of hiking trails, swimming with a lifeguard during the day, (there is a small parking fee during the summer), camping at Historic Valley Campground, non-motorized boating, a stocked lake for fishing summer or winter, concerts every Wednesday evening during July and August, a seasonal... We traveled up the steep streets of North Adams to find Windsor Lake. There were few there enjoying a calm November day. The lake was calm and reflecting the trees and grasses surrounding the lake. We saw signs for campers and a sandy beach area on the other side of the lake. It seemed as though there were construction machines... More

Windsor Lake is really beautiful. It's a great spot to go swim, hike, bike, canoe or kayak. During Summer the Lake offers food, drinks and dessert. There are pavilions for parties and if you want to camp out there you can do that too. The campground is in the back and they have their own private spot for swimming that... More

Apparently this is a man made lake. It also seems to be much loved by locals. It's only a few minutes drive from the centre of North Adams. There's an area set aside for swimming and a cafe that's only open in the summer. If you want somewhere nice to go and read a book for a couple of hours,... More

It's a sweet lake for summer fun. There's sand and shade and grass. Life guards? Often, during the summer. Picnic tables? Got 'em. Food shack and public bathrooms? Camping? Got that too. Sometimes there are concerts at the park too. You'll need a parking permit you can pay for either as a one-day pass, or you can get a summer... More

This is unbelievable beautiful lake! I love this place in every season, but the best time is a hot summer. There is my favorite beach with clean lake's water, we spend a a lot of sunny days there. Also there is allowed the kayaking, canoeing and fishing. If you can't swim, close to the beach is a big natural trail.... More

What a pretty Lake! Enjoyed hearing my husband and his sister share childhood memories about their ventures at this park. We will go back when it is warm enough and possibly camp.

Fall colors are pretty around this lake. There are trails nearby and a pavilion in a city-owned park.

We rented the pavilion on the public side of the lake. Most of the people were people that grew up in North Adams and have since moved away. Most of us have very fond memory's of the lake as kids. The lake is still wonderful. The beach is very small but nice. The picnic area was dirty. There was trash... More
