Has bathrooms which is important! Nice beach but a little rocky. Has a few places to eat. All in all a nice place for a few hours in the sun

I spent a day on this beach just soaking up the rays and listening to the ocean. The sand was very clean. I observed a family of five cleaning up - picking up trash along the beach very early in the morning. I guess that's one way to keep it in good shape. The water was very cold (June) so... More

Very clean beach with calm waters. Sits next to a working fishing harbor and with boat coming and going. Nice spot for picnic lunch. Just kick back and relax.

The Mememsha area is just gorgeous. There isn't much to do there, though. The beach was very quiet, water was very calm. The only drawback is that it is rocky - it was hard to walk into the water without shoes (though the 3yr old girl next to us had no problem.. so take that with a grain of salt).... More

I spent the day at Aquinnah Beach & then came here for the sunset (& a lobster roll from Larsen's Fish Market). The sunset was very pretty & I loved that a crowd gathered to watch it & enjoy picnics on the beach. There was even an shockingly good a cappella group that really added to the ambiance. Truly a... This is the place for you who love to see sunset and very unique fishing village. So if you get there before the sunset, get some fresh seafood and bring your own wine and relax and enjoy the nature. Not very many parking spots, no complaints, sometimes too many people.

So, the beach is fairly rocky at the shoreline (water shoes would have come in handy.) But I loved the calm water for easy swimming. Also liked that it was so close to the fishing village so after a few hours at the beach, it was easy to grab fresh seafood to bring home for cooking (OR to buy an... More

Small, one way in and out.....has a small....antique gas station at the end. If the tour bus pulls in, look out! Not much more room. The parking lot is small. There are a couple of shops on the top of the road. A small fishing pier, and a hut where you can buy (to go) fresh seafood. Its so peaceful... More

We spent a nice couple of hours here, poking around in the sand and watching the waves, and the finale was a remarkable sunset. Definitely go if you have the time.

My favourite part of the island is menemsha because it's less touristy and places tend to have better food and service. THE FUN PART is that the scene on the beach at the beginning of the first Jaws Movie was shot there. Where the fishery is (next to parking Lot) is where in the movie the fishermen went out on...
