It is also the home of the annual Marblehead Festival of Arts Champagne and Culinary Event the last Sunday of June that kicks off a week long 4th of July activities. This... More

Drove out in the evening to get a look at the old fort. There is scant evidence of this existing. The views are still great and there is some open space, which is in short supply. I enjoyed it and would visit regularly if I were in the area.

At the mouth of Marblehead Harbor, a perfect place to see the boats coming and going...the Constitution moored there on its' most recent visit to Marblehead in 1997, many benches for resting or to catch a breeze.

Fort Sewall is a short walk from Town and a stones throw from the Barnacle Restaraunt. It sits at the mouth of the Harbor and across from The lighthouse. A great place to sit and have coffee. Dogs are allowed on leash. It is full of history and there are plaques you can read that share this information. There are... More

Everybody has different sights and views that make them happy. And for all my adult years living in and touring New England, it is Fort Sewall that always calms my soul. Originally, because this small elevated spit of land has such an excellent view of the ocean, the shoreline, and Marblehead Harbor, it had a perfect strategic siting for look... More
