The fort itself has not been restored, but that doesn't matter for boys... A fort is always cool! The views are amazing... What a cool town, crazy crooked streets and tight little houses... Very hard to park in this town however.... I cant imagine what you would do during summer months when the town is completely alive? Very interesting spot.

I live here, and it's still one of my favorite places in the world. They hold the annual Champagne and Culinary Arts festival here at the end of June. What a gorgeous view.

A visit to Fort Sewall is well worth doing as you are touring Marblehead. This is where the Marblehead Artillery Company defended the harbor and protected the USS Constitution from the British "Men of War" during the War of 1812. The Constitution was guided into the deep water of our harbor by Marblehead seamen and out of range of the... More

Overlooks Marblehead harbor. Historic Revolutionary fort that protected the harbor. It also saved the Constitution in the war of 1812 when it was being chased by British frigates. great picnic location any time of year that the weather is OK. Slight walk from closest parking.

Nice walk to Fort Sewall from our home. Our dogs love to romp in the middle of the park, often with other dogs let loose. Absolutely beautiful views of Marblehead Harbor and Salem Sound. Worth the walk!

I walk my dog to Fort Sewell numerous times a week--all year. A paved walk follows the perimeter of the old fort's ground and berms providing a view into Marblehead harbor right around to the Little Harbor and nearby islands. Sometimes you can catch reflections of the setting sun in the tidal pools, other times you can watch and feel... More

Even though i have traveled to many places, I find the historic Ft. Sewall and the view from there as beautiful as any. It's nice to be able to live here and come often. The view includes Marblehead harbor, the lighthouse, and several islands; almost always there are sailboats and fishing vessels to be seen. Many people come to sit... More

After enjoying a good dinner in a fine restaurant in Marblehead, we walked every night to Fort Sewall to enjoy the view. It was a renewed pleasure everytime!
