Fort Sewall is great for a picnic looking over the water. You can hear the waves and the seagulls as you eat lunch with family or friends. It's a close walk from many other places you may visit in downtown Marblehead.

Fort Sewall was built during the French and Indian WAr era to protect the commerce of the town. In the War of 1812, its guns protected the USS Constitution from the guns of British ships. Today its ramparts provide a perfect shaded view of the town's harbor and its fleet of more than 2,000 boat moored in an active port.... More

There are many places where one can go to take in the scenery and relax, but there is something special about sitting on one of the comfortable benches and looking out over the water that soothes the soul.

This is a really beautiful place to sit down and enjoy the views (during the summer, of course) of the Marblehead Harbor. It is one of the oldest English coastal fortifications of the United States.

A calm, peaceful parklike spot with view of water through 120 degrees from Salem Sound, an outlet to the Atlantic and then around to Marblehead Harbor. Regardless of the season just a wonder place to stroll or rest on one of many benches lining the periphery ... you may come on stressed but won't leave that way. Great place to... More

We go here every time we're in the area. Breathtaking views 🌅 Walk the dog, go for a run, sit on a bench...all worth the visit. Our favorite is going to watch the sunrise.

This is a hidden gem in Marblehead. Not an overly huge park but great for photography and a history lesson. Be sure to read the history plaques!

My husband and I went for a walk to dinner and decided to go to the Fort. A neat place to walk and look over the ocean. We were able to see the many sail boats in the calm waters with a beautiful sunset with the fall colors of the trees.

Not much to talk about. Five minute walk around and your done it all. Nice ocean vista but that's about it.
