We walked from The Barnacle restaurant to Fort Sewall and was pleasantly surprised at the remains of the fort and the views that this point offered. Parking is limited so look to park on Front Street before getting too close to the fort. We parked nearly in front of The Barnacle Restaurant.

The site has beautiful views. The historical information available is limited but appropriate for the significance of the site. There is not much of the above-ground structure, I felt that is was enough to have a good sense of what had been there.

Parking is limited and will require a moderate walk. Well kept grounds, very nice views of the harbor and boats.

Even though formally called "fort . . ." little of trhe original fort remains, other than a couple of underground chambers. What is there are a number of park benches looking out over Marblehead Harbor and the ocean north and east towards Gloucester. Best approached by walking - parking is problematic, as is true in most of downtown for that... More

At the end of Front Street this public area allows a stroll along the waterfront from high rocks. A colonial group, Glovers Regiment, camps put during a weekend in July in period clothing. Fronting time to time other groups use this park for gatherings. A great family place for a stroll, a picnic or just to sit on the many... More

Great views, very peaceful. Amazing way to view the whole harbor and all of Marblehead. We walked pretty much all around Marblehead and this was by far my favorite place.

This is one of the most beautiful points in Marblehead. It is a perfect place to have a summer picnic and watch the sail boats in the harbor. It is also the home of the annual Marblehead Festival of Arts Champagne and Culinary Event the last Sunday of June that kicks off a week long 4th of July activities. This... More

Drove out in the evening to get a look at the old fort. There is scant evidence of this existing. The views are still great and there is some open space, which is in short supply. I enjoyed it and would visit regularly if I were in the area.
