I'm a big fan of this site and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day in nature. Its always full of birds with plenty of opportunity to see other animals. Hikers and strollers alike love it here and everyone tends to be so friendly and kind. I wish they allowed dogs but I completely understand why they don't.... More

Didn't see enough wildlife but it was a good hike. Am sure that the lack of wildlife was due to the time of year. Be at the pike pond if you want to see Beavers, we just missed them but the cacophony of insect life at dusk was fantastic. There were plenty of birds but we just didn't see them... More

My husband and I went for a visit this past weekend, not quite knowing what to expect. The wonderful volunteer showed us the map and we saw there was an opportunity to hike to the top! 2126 foot elevation. We felt we had adequate footwear and started out on "Trail of the Ledges", despite the "VERY STEEP" indication on the... More

Beautiful nature sanctuary. Do the "Evening at the Beaver Ponds" if you have the opportunity. Great hiking trails.

It's always a lovely peaceful walk. To see it in the different seasons keeps it interesting. This year we had to portage the baby carriage a few times over roots and uneven ground; but no big issue..some short parts with a boardwalk..but it's a favorite spot fir us.. Really nice in the winter..

We thought we were just going to be walking around a pond so we were in jeans and flip flops.. man did I wish we wore sneakers because the hike would have been worthwhile! We did about a 3 mile trek around and managed (not without a bit of struggle) and wish we had gone earlier so we could have... More

Gotta love the Audubon Soc....great people. Loved hiking the trails and found several books in the bookstore I have wanted.

We went there after our Tanglewood concert and only had time to do the short walk around Pike’s Pond. It was very pleasant. We were on the lookout for beavers but in vain…we saw a wide variety of frogs though… You can walk the pond trail in less than 40 minutes. I did it with flats and it was ok... More

Nice hiking around beaver pond. We saw a snapping turtle and a painted turtle. Bring your own water & snacks!

The walks here are lovely, but you probably want to take the longer ones if you want to see more wildlife. Alternatively, come early in the day or at dusk. Of course, the mosquitos are very active at those times.
