We were here on July 5th, after 2 days of rain. We were here with my 90 year old mother and she was able to do part of the all-persons trail without assistance excepting for holding on to my husband. Afterwards my husband and I went for a hike up the Trail of the Ledges. It was wooded and we... More

Audubon does nature like no one else and Pleasant Valley is no exception. Plenty of easy and challenging trails, clean facilities, friendly staff, and well-kept grounds. Glad our donations are well-spent!

Mass Audubon provides access to Lenox Mountain as part of its Pleasant Valley facility. The trails include walks around several ponds inhabited by beavers. Everything is very well maintained and marked, sutiable for visitors of all ages and abilities. Proceeding uphill, one begins the climb up about 800 feet vertical to the top of Lenox Mountain. The trail is very... More

This nature sanctuary just outside of Lenox offers many options for trails and walks. It is easy to see beaver dams or take the beautiful trails upward. Everything is very clearly marked.

Visited the sanctuary on Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. I have 2 kids (7 & 9) and they enjoyed it as well. There are trails for every type of visitor. A boardwalk all the way up to a mountaintop hike. We took fairly easy trails around several ponds - it was muddy in spots so I'd recommend... More

I'm a big fan of this site and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day in nature. Its always full of birds with plenty of opportunity to see other animals. Hikers and strollers alike love it here and everyone tends to be so friendly and kind. I wish they allowed dogs but I completely understand why they don't.... More

Didn't see enough wildlife but it was a good hike. Am sure that the lack of wildlife was due to the time of year. Be at the pike pond if you want to see Beavers, we just missed them but the cacophony of insect life at dusk was fantastic. There were plenty of birds but we just didn't see them... More

My husband and I went for a visit this past weekend, not quite knowing what to expect. The wonderful volunteer showed us the map and we saw there was an opportunity to hike to the top! 2126 foot elevation. We felt we had adequate footwear and started out on "Trail of the Ledges", despite the "VERY STEEP" indication on the... More

Beautiful nature sanctuary. Do the "Evening at the Beaver Ponds" if you have the opportunity. Great hiking trails.

It's always a lovely peaceful walk. To see it in the different seasons keeps it interesting. This year we had to portage the baby carriage a few times over roots and uneven ground; but no big issue..some short parts with a boardwalk..but it's a favorite spot fir us.. Really nice in the winter..
