We enjoyed hiking on the trails in the sanctuary. We didn't get to see any wildlife, besides some minnows in the pond.

We spend a morning walking through pleasant valley to the top of the mountain, it is a beautiful location and excellently sign posted, nearly impossible to get lost. A great way to spend the day.

Pleasant Valley Sanctuary is so aptly named. It is very pleasant, by this I mean relaxing. It is also a sanctuary for wildlife. My son and I saw 3 beavers at dusk at the Pike's Pond. We also saw lots of garter snakes near the Beaver Lodge trail and lots of red spotted elf newts on the upper trail to... More

If you live in the Berkshires or are just visiting, Pleasant Valley is a great place for a short walk or a days adventure with nature looking for birds and other wildlife. Most of the paths/trails are fairly level. There are many that go over water on man made wooden walkways. Only a few trails get to be very narrow,... More

this was the first time my husband and I walked an Audubon reserve. It was a little muddy , we had just had a rain, but other than that the walk was so lovely. the map enables you to walk around safely. It was so quiet, you could hear the frogs talking to each other. several people we saw did... More

We were here on July 5th, after 2 days of rain. We were here with my 90 year old mother and she was able to do part of the all-persons trail without assistance excepting for holding on to my husband. Afterwards my husband and I went for a hike up the Trail of the Ledges. It was wooded and we... More

Audubon does nature like no one else and Pleasant Valley is no exception. Plenty of easy and challenging trails, clean facilities, friendly staff, and well-kept grounds. Glad our donations are well-spent!

Mass Audubon provides access to Lenox Mountain as part of its Pleasant Valley facility. The trails include walks around several ponds inhabited by beavers. Everything is very well maintained and marked, sutiable for visitors of all ages and abilities. Proceeding uphill, one begins the climb up about 800 feet vertical to the top of Lenox Mountain. The trail is very... More

This nature sanctuary just outside of Lenox offers many options for trails and walks. It is easy to see beaver dams or take the beautiful trails upward. Everything is very clearly marked.

Visited the sanctuary on Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. I have 2 kids (7 & 9) and they enjoyed it as well. There are trails for every type of visitor. A boardwalk all the way up to a mountaintop hike. We took fairly easy trails around several ponds - it was muddy in spots so I'd recommend... More
