I attended a Saturday morning rehearsal for which I purchased a lawn ticket. I wanted to see Andris Nelsons conduct more clearly, so I moved into the largely empty shed after observing several others do so with no consequences. Two minutes after I sat down, a short, somewhat round usher , perhaps taken momentarily with his power, approached me from... More

We were eight women with very diverse opinions and Lenox was a great summer to relax, eat well, see wonderful concerts and enjoy the summertime. We saw Emmanuel Ax and Paul Lewis, famous pianists, at Ozawa Hall and their performances were memorable. We also spent a day at Canyon Ranch for an outstanding day of messages, lunch, walking, exercising, and... More

My business partner gave us free tickets and it was a memorable and amazing evening. A must do for anyone who enjoys music.

. . . .For the experience of Tanglewood ---- the beauty of the environment --- will open your heart and your mind to the joy of the music. You really don't need to be an expert on classical composers (I'm not). Just sit back (or lie down on the grass) and take it all in. The lawn tickets are only... More

We drove to Tanglewood from southern Ontario. It's a long but not too difficult drive, mainly on the New York Thruway (a well-maintained toll road), that takes about 7 hours without stops. And it's very much worth it: Tanglewood is a summertime experience all classical music lovers should experience at least once in their lives. The location is in the... More

We go to Tanglewood (albeit we bring a picnic and sit on the lawn as the lawn tickets are usually cheaper and part of the fun for us is making a day of it with food, drink and great music) during its summer season. This is a lovely venue for some of the great artists in music to appear whether... More

There is a reason why hearing a concert at Tanglewood is a mainstay of the Berkshires. Imagine watching the sun setting over the Stockbridge Bowl while hearing a soprano rehearse an aria nearby. Imagine a picnic on the lawn with a chilled rose on a warm evening when the wind is starting to pass gently through the trees, clearing the... More

Tanglewood, the summer home for the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and many other musical ensembles, is a quite magical place. There are several venues: the Koussevitzky Music Shed is the largest; there is ample reserved seating under the shed protected against rain and then there is the big lawn: for the big evening concerts people may arrive mid afternoon with... This is my second time going to this show. It's fun for the whole family even little people. The music is very wholesome and a good time for all ages. Great stories and great guests. (Sarah Bareilles) They played for an hour and a half after the show broadcast! Highly recommend this show!
