Tanglewood on a summer's evening can be magical. Lawn tickets are available and picnicking on the grass is delightful. There are places on the property to buy food, too. Tickets inside the Shed can be pricey for certain concerts, but to really listen to the music it is the best place to be!

Tanglewood on Parade is an all day classical (and some other kinds) musical event with an evening of wonderful pieces, the last of which is always 1812 Overture and then fireworks; plenty of restrooms and food choices

Always nice to go here. Even better when James Taylor playing on the 4th of July. Nice to walk the grounds and take in the views. Night time is great with music coming from the Shed.

I go hours before the concert starts. I put my blanket and chairs down right in front, and I am not the only one who does it. The programs are excellent, even if you are not up on classical music its an evening to enjoy. Jeremy T

Tanglewood is an experience not to be missed. Watching the people is almost as fun as the music. The grounds will make you leave your cares behind.

We visited off-season in mid-October. The grounds were open to walk around. I found it peaceful and enjoyed my visit.

About 12 years ago my wife died and one of our favorite thing to do on a Saturday night was to listen for Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion". We never got to Tanglewood to see a live show. A few years ago I was dating a widow and she offered an Idea to go see the show. That is... More

I admit to a bias -- I saw some of the most formative concerts of my life at Tanglewood, so the memories add to the allure. However, leaving that aside, I will say this: Tanglewood has the most beautiful setting imaginable and some of the best acoustics available. You may opt to sit on the lawn and do a picnic,... More

I can't think of any thing more pleasant than sitting outdoors, sipping wine and listening to first class orchestras and musicians. Simply a unique and wonderful experience. People visit and picnic when the musicians are not playing. Many wonderful musical events take place here. parking is ample and it does not take long to get out of the parking lots.... More

I attended a Boston Pops Concert as part of a Raffle I won through work. I was truly ecstatic to attend the concert along with my dad. It was a fun concert. Excellent indoor seats and we survived the hurricane and torrential rain. If you get lawn seats, you must bring an umbrella as the weather can be deceptive. The... More
