Our two night visit we had rain one night and just cold the second but we loved the music. Have not found another venue like Tanglewood.

We have been to Tanglewood many times in the course of our long, enduring marriage. However, no time was ever better than this past weekend when we coupled a One-Day University on Sunday morning, three lecturers on Resilience, Political Science and George Gershwin, with a fantastic afternoon concert with Charles Dutoit, my favorite conductor, conducting my favorite Orchestra, the Boston... The grounds are really spread out, so have some fun exploring the two music buildings, the "maze" for kids, the views. If you plan to sit inside I recommend a softener for the seat. If outside, then something to put on the ground to keep the ground moisture off you. Any of the parking lots will work, just remember which... More

Yesterday's wonderful All-Beethoven program was our 2nd visit to Tanglewood this season. A perfect day in an absolutely beautiful setting. We arrive early, so that we can hopefully get a parking space in the handicapped lot not too far back. There is staff driving carts to help those with walking problems and also staff who provide wheelchair service back and... More

We were in Lenox for 3 nights, visiting from LA. We went to 3 concerts, one in "the Shed" and 2 in Ozawa Hall. This was our first time there so we really didn't know too much about the venue. We knew about the music, but not the shed or hall. The Shed is open on 3 sides with a... More

Given some tickets as a present, we resigned ourselves to the long haul out to Lenox from Boston for a summer treat. What great fun we had! While we wouldn't recommend what we did -- driving out and back in one day-- we're so glad to have had the chance to discover the far northwest corner of the Commonwealth. Read... More

Tanglewood is a superb place to enjoy a summer concert, and the food you have created (or purchased) in a beautiful country setting, watching close-ups of the artists on the teletrons . We particularly enjoy the rehearsal mornings. This weekend was an all Beethoven program. The weather was glorious, many of the audience brought folding furniture, knitting, newspapers, children brought... More

Tanglewood on Parade is always terrific, season ending afternoon and evening! The lawns open at 2 and there is time to walk around and take in the events before the 8:30 concert and the event ending 1812 Overture and fireworks. This should not be missed!

I perform there every summer with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. It is a little slice of heaven. Great music in a beautiful setting.
