While at Kripalu's Health and Yoga Center, I attended a concert @ Tanglewood on a Saturday night in mid-July. The Tanglewood setting and performance were quite simply beautiful - and, the overall Tanglewood experience added another layer of appreciation to my visit in Lenox. If you are in the area to attend one, the other may add another dimension of... More

. . .You should visit Tanglewood for a Sunday afternoon concert. Buy a lawn ticket and get there shortly after 12 noon when the gates open. You will be able to park close in giving you a pretty short walk to the entrance --- something very important if you are carrying chairs, blanket, food and drinks. It also means you... More

We had no idea this was the summer home to the Boston symphony, but we were so glad we stumbled on it. We picked up $15 seats at the back of "The Shed" performance pavilion on the same day of the concert. With the big screens we were able to see very well. The acoustics were wonderful for the instruments... More

The music shed is a marvel. I've no idea how they do it but the acoustics are wonderful & for an outdoor venue bordering on magical. The coming & going are easy. This is one attraction that needs no tweaking. It's perfect just the way it is.

Tanglewood is one of the top summer performance spaces in the country. The grounds are magnificent, the music is terrific, picnics on the lawn are a delightful way to spend an afternoon. There are many great places to stay, eat, hike, shop and visit.

We went to see James Taylor and even though it had rain all day the rain stopped in time for an awesome concert. The grounds were well kept and lots of people packed to watch the concert. It was awesome! Parking was close and even with a crowd easy to get out. So close to great shops and food in... More

We were at the Opening night (July 5) concert. We arrived at about 6:30 pm for the 8:30 pm concert. My mom who is 90 needed a wheelchair to get from the West lot to the Shed and everything was well coordinated. We did not eat on the lawn but maybe we will try next time since it looks like... More
