This little gem is a working library and historical museum all in one and available to you for free. Several displays with artifacts going back over 100 years. Often on the weekends, there will be some kind of festival in the lawn next to the building.

A wonderful, quiet place to read a magazine between touring around town. Comfortable grand chairs and tables. Great book sale, too!

A combination of historic New England and modern conveniences. Sharon Hawkes heads the library and does an A+ job. Many events are held at the library so check the schedule.

What a beautiful space. The librarians are very helpful. Also I greatly appreciate the museum pass program. They also where able to get books and movies through interlibrary loan.

We were told by a local to tour this old historic building in town and we were not disappointed. It has the charm lost by today's cookie-cutter styling.

We were walking around Lenox and encountered a woman coming out of the library. She told us about the beauty and history of the building and encouraged us to go in and take a tour. The Library Executive Director dropped whatever she was doing and gave us a very informative tour. She did not point this out at the end... More

We stopped in town to look at the shops and have some food. A local told us we must go see the town the library before we go. I am so glad we listened to them! What an amazing library. It has been restored and is well maintained. Ask a local about it and they will tell you all the... More

We stopped by for the book sale and took a look around. There are some lovely, furnished rooms -- one for reading and one for music. The acoustics were great, I could hear the music in the music room, but not in the reading room that abuts it!
