Art and Tickets in Lenox

We stopped in and saw a terrific art exhibit in the adjunct building. The library also offers 1/2 price tickets to local attractions and performances.

A beautiful small-town New England library, worth a visit. In the downtown area of Lenox, in the Berkshires.

The library opens at 11 AM this morning. You would sign up for your spot to buy the tix that were available. You return at noon and procure those tix that remain available.

History and good reading spots...all make for a terrific spot in one's day! We stopped in to explore and were taken in by the book sale, the comfortable reading sections, helpful tips on good books, and having the opportunity to be in a real library!

A beautiful building inside and out! Walked in just to look around, and found a vibrant contemporary library (computers available, DVDs and audio books, plus the usual hard back volumes). An extensive collection, a beautiful and well used children's area, and a large quiet reading room with comfy wing-back chairs, thick carpets, and that grand silence of libraries long past.... More

I wasn't sure why this was listed as a place to visit but I am glad that we listened. The library is housed in an old courthouse. The architecture is quite interesting and we were impressed with how they made it work as a library. We didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of it but they have a very... More

The building is historical and comfortable. Not your average library. We stopped by for a book sale.

This little gem is a working library and historical museum all in one and available to you for free. Several displays with artifacts going back over 100 years. Often on the weekends, there will be some kind of festival in the lawn next to the building.

A wonderful, quiet place to read a magazine between touring around town. Comfortable grand chairs and tables. Great book sale, too!
