Very quaint and American. Plenty of places to eat and drink - a great excuse to sample the local seafood.

Very easy to get around and tour Main Street. Great restaurants, shops and pubs. Very close (2 blocks) to Anchor Inn. We hardly used our car.

Lots to do, plenty of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. There's also the JFK memorial and other landmarks to visit as well. My kids took a photo walk guided by a professional photographer for 2 hours, taking photos and getting tips on how to take better photos.....they loved it!

Been coming to Hyannis Main Street almost every summer for the past 40 years. I remember my childhood memories of Main Street and now I can see it on the faces of my kids when we visit. Gotta hit the Candy store, arcade, bowling, and just browsing the shops. It brings back so many good memories.

Walked Main Street in early evening for shopping then dinner. Very nice atmosphere. Neat little shops and friendly folks.

Main Street is filled with tons of shops and restaurants. Anything and everything is within blocks. Even the Cape Cod Duckmobile. If you're shopping for gifts to take home to your friends/loved ones, this is the place. So many shops, competition is high, resulting in lower prices. Tee shirts, novelty items are in abundance at great prices.

While on vacation in July of 2014 I picked up a walking tour map of Hyannis from a tourist kiosk. We were looking for something nearby to do while staying in West Yarmouth, and thought we would give this a shot. It was a big disappointment on many points. There was a lot of traffic even on a weekday in... More

If you are in Hyannis you must walk thru town....it is you quintessential beach town with a slew of restaurants to chose from.......tiny shops to browse in......I enjoyed myself and of course we ate and shopped but to be honest, if you have been in one beach town......you have been in them all! still this is Hyannis!

If you're looking for a quaint town on the Cape, Hyannis is definitely not it. There's absolutely no charm to busy Main Street with unattractive and outdated storefronts. The surrounding homes look battered and lifeless with little gardening in the front. Harbor area okay, nothing special. The only reason I stayed the night there was to catch the early morning... There is so much to see on Main Street in Hyannis from places to eat to museums to places for great music. There are many stores for shopping and there is a bowling alley, arcade, and a Carousel Ride for kids! There is enough to see and do to keep one occupied for weeks! It is a thriving and independent... More
