We took the Steamship Authority to and from Martha's Vineyard. It was a great experience and was very easy to bring the motorcycle aboard. The ferry was fast and had a decent sized cafe for food and drink. They were very efficient in loading the motor vehicles on and off. They do not take reservations for motorcycles so when you... What would a visit to the Cape be without a Ferry ride. We chose the high speed ferry this time and were very happy with it . A bit crowded because of the holiday weekend but all in all it was a great time

Well managed ferry trip to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard though it makes sense to either book online or at least 90 minutes before sailing as the queues can be quite long. Usual quick trip snacks on board and the sailing is pretty smooth all the way to both venues. Seating area are inside and the more bracing outside at the... More

This was my first experience riding the Ferry from Hyannis to Martha's Vineyard. I enjoyed the experience. It was comfortable and we sat together in the rear of the ship. As a first timer, I enjoyed it.

Fast ferry to Nantucket! Steamship Authority has been running a standing weekday, same-day special on roundtrip trips from Hyannis to Nantucket for $50. We used this to take in the island on a day-trip and found the experience enjoyable and comfortable. In comparison to other rates/sailings, this was the best option in our opinion and we'd use them again if... More

My wife and I rode the Fast Ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket. It was about as comfortable a ride as you would expect. They had a small selection of food items on board which my wife and I took advantage of for breakfast. It was nothing to write home about, but satisfying nonetheless. Both of our rides were pretty quick... More

I lived on the vineyard for years, so this experience I am about to tell isn't a one time event. It has happened many times. I traveled to Mv to visit my parents and a Sunday. I checked the website and it told me to park at Palmer av, which is $15 dollars a day, so since there are very... More

Took the fast ferry to Nantucket. We initially attempted to go on a Friday. Checked the web site and it stated that we should park in the Yarmouth Rd. lot. Thankfully, we had looked at a map because there were no signs. When we took the Martha's Vineyard ferry last year out of Woods Hole, there were a lot of... More

when we arrived on Friday we went to book our ferries for Saturday and Sunday. The fast ferry to Nantucket was already booked for Saturday at 910am, however, we were able to take the slower one at 930am. During the summer months, it is suggested you book in advance, since they tend to fill up quickly.
