We chose the Steamship Authority due to the price during the week and we found it to be clean and fairly comfortable. It was on time for both legs of our trip. More

Handicap best be prepared the elevator was not working at the time we were there, and there were a lot of stairs. Dogs are accepted on the boat. There is inside seating and outside seating. They make announcements on loud speaker. The bathrooms were surprising clean. They have a diningroom where you have a good selection of food. Be prepared... More

Another good trip! Friendly staff. Clean ship. Reasonable fare. Great views. Stayed on schedule. Only downside -- so many rude passengers. I sat outside and alternated between knitting & reading, while my hubby napped next to me. A hat kept my hair from getting tangled in the wind and the breeze felt great in the heat. More

TIP#1 always remember what lot you parked in. Always reserve tickets online in advance-so much faster! Get there early - at leat an hour or so. Once on the boat find a seat inside if you want to read or nap - or outside if you want to enjoy the ocean views and like wind. There are many dogs and... More

The Steamship Authority Ferries are the way to go. I always chose to go with this service when heading to Nantucket or the Vineyard. I find them to be reasonable, professional, and punctual. They do a great job! More

Parking staff here were so rude I was fearful leaving my car after expressing that the place they wanted me to park my car was too hard to back into. They made me do it anyway and continued to make deragatory comments to me as I was walking to the bus. I was able to forget about it once I... More

The Steamship Authority Ferries is easy to use and a great way to get over to Nantucket from the Cape. Took awhile and it's very pricey but it is the only option really. More

Not literally. You can take Hy-Line or a small aircraft. But Steamship Authority is a good value. They could easily gouge you on the ticket prices because seriously, how else are you going to get to Nantucket? It costs ~$32/pp for the fast ferry (1 hour) and ~$16 for the slow ferry (just over 2 hours). We took the fast... More

This was after the Holidays and the boat was full. They only had one luggage rack for the boat. We had to carry our luggage up to the upper deck, luckily there was an elevator. The crew told us that they were only allowed one cart for the boat, since the boat was full and there was no room for... More
