So we purchased tickets in advance and still had to wait in line to check in?? Why no scanner or kiosk at entrance? The counter staff are arrogant and ignorant! Have you ever been to a DMV counter? Well these folks are worse!! The curbside service was great! Friendly and helpful! When I told counter staffer it took 3 hrs... More

I travel on and off the island several times a year, all year around. I have used this boat service before and always had problems, but I've never waited this long for someone to just answer the phone. I was on hold for 15 minutes to reserve a ticket. 15 minutes is UNACCEPTABLE. When I complained to the ticket office... More

I always travel with the Steamship Authority when going to and from Nantucket by boat. It can be a little crazy during the summer months, but if you reserve a car spot early enough you can avoid the hassle of standby or drive-on/ drive-off. They do a great job working to make sure that you and your belongings reach the... More

We took the 4:30PM boat from Hyannis to Nantucket on Sunday, August 3rd. We were on the freight boat - which usually takes trucks. There were no amenities. I have made this trip many times and usually the boat over to Nantucket is most enjoyable, not this time. I realize that the Steamship Authority is trying to accommodate everyone who... More

One hour trip to Nantucket on a comfortable clean and well appointed ship. For $50 rounded trip Mon- Thurs? Done. Parking semi hassle is part of the price but worth it.

Get your online reservation and come an hour early to park in the assigned lot, take a free shuttle to the high speed ferry and get in line. It's a hydrofoil catamaran which speeds you to Nantucket in just an hour. Wifi and snack bar included

These guys know what they are doing when it comes to getting people on and off the ferry. They have a good system. The staff was very friendly and professional. I didn't enjoy taking the commuter bus to the ferry and having to stand both ways. Could have done with out that. One concern I had was security. I noticed... More

We wanted to go tour on Nantucket Island and wanted to get there rather quick so we could spend more time. We took the fast ferry at a 1 hr trip each way. The ferry was very nice, plenty of seating and tables to accommodate (if you got on the boat soon enough) Online booking said you didn't need to... More

The staff at Steamship were accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The ride was uneventful other than salt spraying on my car ugh which was no fault of theirs...it was rough. I recommend! We got there early and tried to catch the earlier ferry but they were booked 100%. They did offer to let us get on and they'd... More

This was a great way to get to Nantuckett. The ride was very pleasant. You can sit inside in comfy chairs or sit outside. It was very quick one hour. It is a bit pricey.
