Who doesn't love potato chips?

This is a great year round activity on the Cape, works well for rainy days and is interesting enough for those restless little kids who are tired of the hotel room.

We made a quick stop here on our way back to our hotel. The tour is entirely self guided but contains some interesting information. You can see the various stages of production through the windows. The tour ends in the shop where you can collect free samples and buy various chip related merchandise. It's worth a stop but don't plan... More

The chip self guided tour was very disappointing. At no time did anyone in the company say anything to us. They were at the entry and gift shop only, and not a word was said. The self guided tour is one short hallway with placards on the wall to read and a few windows to look in. The free bag... More

We went to see how these potato chips were made on a very rainy day. Too bad they were doing maintenance on the facility that day but still was worthwhile. It is a small factory and the visit takes less than half an hour to see it all. At the end, you get a free potato chip sample, nice touch!... More

If you are in the area, you can take a free self guide tour of the chip factor. The tour takes about 10-15. Be aware there are some days they do not operate the machinery, if they finish the order of potatoes. At the end of the tour you receive a free bag of chips.

Several people have complained about the "tour". When you read the placards and look at what is going on with the machinery you can follow just how the chips are made. There are several areas they could use more signage - like the guy cutting some of the potatoes that may be larger to keep the chip size consistent, a... More

This was an interesting tour of an American factory. "Just a walk-through, but informative and you can see how clean everything is and have a free sample. Yum!

It was interesting to see the factory and how chips are made, but we were able to walk through the whole process in 5 minutes, no "hands on" just walk by windows, we went on our way to a whale watching boat which was a few minutes away, it was on the way. It is free and they give each... More

Average rating for a rainy day activity...less for any other day. We were in the area during a rainy weekend. The factory was not functioning during our visit due to maintenance. So we walked down a hallway and read the signs. They wouldn't let us roll the stroller through the hallway. We had to leave it by the entrance despite... More

If you have 20 minutes to spare on a rainy day, this is a good stop. It is a self guided tour where you just walk by Windows and look in to the factory. They do give you a free bag of chips at the end, so that is good. I am glad we went, but I won't need to... More
