Visiting on Cape Cod in the Hyannis,MA area, we were told about a tour of a potato chip plant. Finding the facility wasn't that easy since our GPS kept malfunctioning. Plant in a rather rural location. Enter one end of the bldg and follow signs down a hallway with large windows on one side. Poster signs described what was happening... More

Ok potato chips. Walk at your own pace tour looking Thur windows. They were making little bags the day we walked thru.

It's a neat tour that takes maybe 30 minutes to walk through. The tour is totally free and they even give you a complementary bag of chips at the end of the tour. It's our new favorite potato chip.

If you are in the area, make it a point to stop. Essentially you walk down a short hallway & look onto the factory floor. You see potatoes being cleaned fried & traveling down chutes. There are signs to explain what is happening. Whatever day you go you get a sample bag of what is being made that day, we... More

I thought we would see a lot more during the "tour" of the potato chip factory. The only thing I saw that had to do with the chips was when they were moving on a conveyor. I was hoping to see how they became chips from start to finish. There was signage that offered interesting facts, but I would not... More

We went for a free tour after visiting the Cape Cod Beer tour. It is just down the road from Cape Cod Chips. The tour is self guided and only takes about 10 minutes. It would have been nice to have a guided tour to know more about the machines and process but it was still a free activity on... More

During a recent trip to Cape Cod we happened to find out that Cape Cod Potato Chips had a factory tour, and we immediately changed our plans for the day. However, a walk down a hallway really doesn't make for a good factory tour. You had to read the signs and then look into the plant at unlabeled machines, hardly... More

On the walkway signs on the way in Cape Cod Chips let you know which chips are being made that day. The tour is a self-guided tour and takes less than 30 minutes depending on the speed you go. You only get to see a fraction of what is going on, but hey for free you can't complain. The posters... More

this is something different to do when you've got a week at the Cape - it gets you out of the sun and is fun! Great for kids and anyone who loves chips!
