The beach is beautiful but since it is a public beach it is not always pristine. Things improve in the fall after the kids go back to school.

Skinny, at high tide, beach backed up by busy road and parking. Hideous skyline of schlocky low rent developments keeps your eye focused out to sea. Clean enough but crowded. Cold water.

This beach is one of the nicest beaches in New England. The water is cold but it is crystal Clear! No seaweed no fish just clean water. You do have to stay near the top portion of the sand because high tide brings the water up really far. I am definitely going back!!

The beach is clean and offers free parking (though it fills up quickly) if you do have to pay for parking it was only 10 dollars which seems to be about average. Family friendly beach with life guards in some areas. I observed multiple people cleaning up trash on the beach as well as a few police officers about the... More

Great beach, but parking can be tough in summer. If you drive further down, you can visit less crowded areas, just be careful it is not permit only parking.

Great beach and fun for families and couples alike! Bring your beach blanket, beach toys and food and plan on spending the whole day. A great sandy beach with warm water and many restaurants nearby too. Ample parking also.

The tide is very high mid-day so it is best to grab a spot close to the sea wall if you are staying all day. Plenty of beach in morning and late afternoon. We loved it.

This is probably the worst beach I've been to within day trip distance from Boston. $20 to park which seems standard around MA but this was a dirt lot. The beach sits close to the road and no surrounding scenery besides the ocean. It's very crowded and with lots of trash on the ground, smokers, etc made it unappealing on... More

Nice beach, my husband and I likes sitting in the rocks and swimming. It was a little crowded during the day but cleared out a lot during the evening. It was nice when the tide went out I would bring my kids back here to go swimming then.

Fun beach. Not many places to put a chair during high tide but low tide leaves lots of room. So much fun to hop on rocks, play in the sand, and search for sea creatures. Close to places to eat and shop.
