GREAT!! Came highly recommended and TOTALLY agree. They worked VERY hard to find the whales (30+miles) and SO worth it. Staff clearly respected the whales and kept a safe distance to prevent injury. Naturalist Rebecca was friendly and knowledgable, happy to answer questions and kept us entertained on the LONG trip. Galley and office staff were great. DO THIS TO... More

We had to go really far out, so the journey took longer than advertised, but what a show! We saw five humpback whales, two adults and two calves, doing everything you'd want them to do. They came really close to the boat so we had great views of them. The naturalist was really well-informed. And on the way home, even... More

This was our third or fourth trip on Captain Bill's. We always enjoy them. The trip was quiet - the sea was like glass and we saw several whales for quite a while (once they found them), The naturalist who narrated the trip did a great job and really was educational. If you want to see whales and learn about... More

I was positively impressed already when i booked the tour since Gail allowed me to book it and pay later only if, on the selected day, the weather and sea conditions allowed to leave the harbor. The selected morning was the only chance for us since we could not stay longer in the area. And the day was great, perfect... More

Amazing experience. We saw a group of 5 humpback whales playing around the boat.Got some great pictures. The trip was a little long spending 4½ hours in total getting out and back. I went on a silmilar whale watching trip from Portland, but we didn't see so many whales back then and not so close up, so I was very... More

We took our two children ages 9 and 11 out on this tour after researching that they take a Blue Ocean Conservation naturalist on board. The trip out was fun, saw minke whales after about 45 minutes and the naturalist kept us informed of local history, both natural and human. We then came across a mother and calf, and the... More

We have been whale watching with Bill's for over 25 years. They never disappoint. This trip we saw more whales than we had seen in years although the trip out was longer than it had been in prior years. Hats off to the Captain for persevering we came upon the whales!! It was worth the ride out and experiencing the... More

This was a lot of fun! While there's no guarantee that whales will be spotted, we saw quite a few, they stayed around our boat for a while & even came right up to & under our boat. AMAZING!!! They knew right where to take us for the best possibility of sightings. Really enjoyed all the information presented about the... More
