I had an afternoon to kill and decided to take the trip. The crew is very friendly and they know their stuff. We did get a chance to see whales and at one point a whale surfaced right beside the boat. I enjoyed the experience but would probably not do it again. I found five hours too long, it is... More

This is the smallest of the boats that go out of Gloucester and the fastest. This year, thus far, the whales are hanging on the southern end of Stellwagen Bank so it's a nearly 2 hour trip to Cape Cod Bay to see them. When they move to the northern fingers it's a shorter trip out to see them. We... More

We had a amazing trip. We saw several breeches, fluke display's and some came really close to the boat. The tour guide told us that the whales were putting on quite the show for us. Staff was very friendly, and helpful on where to take the best photos.

Great tour!! This tour is closely affiliated with the Whale Center of New England. The boat is not a 'slick' as those from the Boston Aquarium, but the ride out to the feeding area was enjoyable and comfortable. The guide, a young college student, was extremely knowledgable and friendly, interacting with passengers on the trip out. We spent at least... More

We took a 9am Whale watch boat on a hot sunny day. I am glad that others posted to bring sweatshirts because the temperature drops quite a lot after you leave the harbor. The ride to the where the whales were feeding was quite long but we expected this as the naturalist on board gave information about the whales and... More

I highly recommend this trip, we must have seen 20 whales, some were right next to the boat. The staff was very informative and friendly.

This is a very nice place to be. I took my family there on July 4th holiday for whale watching and it was very nice and beautiful at the beginning until people started smoking. The entire cabin got filled with cigarettes smoke and the crew did nothing to help those who were not smokers. I had my five years old... More

I would have given this five stars if we didn't have to travel so far and the communication during the trip was better. We thought leaving out of Gloucester would be better than Boston because you hit the marine sanctuary much sooner, but at its northern end, which turned out to be further away from the whales. I can only... More

We felt really good supporting a local, family-run business. Everyone from the reception to crew on board were welcoming & friendly. Boat is clean and well-kept. They worked hard to put us on whales and we had an amazing time watching a humpback lobtailing repeatedly and a calf nursing alongside its mom.
