Took trip on morning of October 10th, 2014. Glorious day, calm seas. Sighted 6 Hump Back whales and a seal. Very informative commentary from the crew. Lots of great photo's from our 4 hour trip. Worth every penny. Highly recommended.

We got to see 4 whales. Captain Bill & his team made it possible to get as close as he could so we could see them up close. There was whale that breached so many times that made the trip very worth while. Even though it was chilly we forgot about the weather bc these whales were putting on a... More

We went on Saturday 20 Sept 2014 on the 2pm trip and had a great time. I would highly recommend it. I wil definitely go on this trip again. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The sea was really choppy but we had taken anti sickness pills (which I would also recommend doing) and felt fine the whole time.... More

Unfortunately the day we went it was cool and raining. I thought it was going to a horrible time but it wasn't.....it turned out to be a fantastic day. The ride out there was long but I still enjoyed it. We were inside the boat so the rain and cold didn't matter much and it wasn't even that choppy so... More

This was our 6th yearly trip with Capt Bill’s and still won’t be our last. Depending on how far out the whales are it can take between 45 minutes to an hour or more just getting to them. This year it was closer to 30 minutes when we came upon 2 Fin Whales feeding. We were very close and they... More

My wife and I have gone whale watching in Gloucester several times and each time we have had a great experience. This time we purchased tickets through Groupon. The trip to see the whales is about 1 1/2 hours but it is worth the ride. We saw 30 finback whales and a minke whale but the trip was shortened by... More

We had made reservations well in advance and the day before we were to leave they called us with their concerns for the possibility of bad weather on our tour date and wondered if we would like to move our reservations up one day. Very considerate. We left on time and the tour was very informative and we were able... More

When there was miscommunication right before the boat left the harbor , e.g., they could not reach me by phone, they assumed I would not come to this trip and sold 4 remaining tickets to others. After they found they over-sold tickets, they asked my family to leave the boat. Fact 1: I did call to make a reservation. Why... More

The whales were great, the staff was too. Be aware the ride out is 2 hours, so the ride back is the same. Plan on a good 5 hours at sea.

This was a great way to spend the afternoon off of Cape Ann. The boat ride out of Gloucester Harbor was very scenic. We saw humpbacks on our trip. There wasn't a bad spot on the boat for viewing and the crew made sure to announce when the whales we coming to surface. I was really surprised at how close... More
