In a word: Wonderful! We traveled with Cape Ann Whale Watch on August 18th, 2008. We saw 15 humpback whales, with lots of breaching, tail slapping, and close-to-the-boat views. It was absolutely breath-taking. The boat (Hurricane II) was roomy, comfortable, and clean. The sailing was smooth (despite choppy seas). There was plenty of space, so crowding wasn't a problem. The... more

Went out on the Cape Ann Whale Watch on July 3, 2008, morning trip. It took about an hour to get to the whales, but we sure got our money's worth! We saw several whales, including a whale named Trident and her calf, along with another adult humpback whale. They hung around our boat for the entire hour we were... more

I had to find a day in my trip where I could go and let my hair down. I didn't want to walk, shop, or deal with traffic. I knew of the Whale watch because I had previously met the owner and a receptionist named Carol. Before the trip I went into the office and browsed over all the great... more

Cape Ann Whale Watch is by far the best! After going whale watching in New England for more than a decade, we have found them to be consistently the happiest, hardest-working, and most experienced group of people that we have known. We have tried others, but now go out exclusively with Cape Ann. They are topnotch! more

These people love what they're doing--from the friendly folks in the ticket office/gift shop, to the enthusiastic and knowledgeable naturalists and educators. Cape Ann Whale Watch is the best company I've gone out with in my more than 100 whale watches. Their boat is roomy and fast , and the captains are excellent at finding whales and respecting them once... more

We had a great time last year and are planning on making it a yearly outing. Cape Ann runs a smooth operation. Clean boat, friendly staff, good snack bar. We saw plenty of whales, porpoises, and even a rare sea turtle. And birds... so many birds so far from land! Here's a link to a video that was made on... more
