Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, MA is a must do ! I was on the trip in late Oct and the whales were pretty active, much more so when we were heading back to the harbor. But still, active the whole time we were out there in the area of the whales. The best thing about the trip was... More

The whales were everywhere during our cruise. At times there were so many, you could not see them all at one time. The crew were also very friendly and informative. I asked the Cape Ann photographer how she rated our cruise and she said "1 out of 10...it was a 30". Could not have asked for a better cruise. It... More

According to Marquez: “Fiction was invented the day Jonas arrived home and told his wife that he was three days late because he had been swallowed by a whale.” I was accompanied on my whale watching trip by my novelist wife and her writer companions, a crew of seafaring adventurers. Fiction runs through their blood and the yarns they spin... More

I've never seen a whale before outside a children's cartoon or a Moby Dick book cover, so I was a bit skeptical about seeing one in real life as we chartered the boat (the one that seats up to six people) for our whale encounter. When we arrived to the pier on a brisk Sunday morning, Captain Nick was already... More

As an avid (somewhat psychotically enthusiastic) whalewatcher, I prefer small and uncrowded boats to see whales. To this end, Cape Ann Whale Watch offers a private charter tour, which seats six people and is perfect for a get together of friends or family. My mother, my boyfriend, and three friends of mine went out on the the fine, sea-faring vessel... More

Booked on line the day before we went for the morning tour. We arrived 10 minutes early and the car park was quite crowded, directed to a space then straight to our tickets and then straight on the boat. Although lots of people boarded the boat it did not feel crowded and there was lots of space to walk around.... More

The people who run this outing are super nice! My best encounter was at the gift shop where I went to purchase my tickets! The lady was super helpful and so nice!! You can tell that its not "just a job" to these folks! They price was WELL worth it for sure- I purchased a discount ticket on "Groupon" and... More

If you're going whale watching, this is the one. Large boat for smooth sailing, very fast boat for less time driving and more time watching. Very clean and apparently well maintained boat. Narrator made a point that this boat was Coast Guard Inspected which is a comfort when your children are on board with you. Narrator was also very good... More

My wife and I went for the first time and must say that it was a truly awesome experience. Not only was the boat and crew "top notch" but we actually got to see whales frolicking in the water for over an hour. Took over 100 pictures and are savoring them each day. This is a "must do" trip for... More
