Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed...

Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed whale sightings for every whale watching tour out to Stellwagen Bank, a national marine preserve about 12 miles off the coast of Gloucester deemed one of the "Top 5 Whale Watching Destinations in the World" by the World Wildlife Fund due to the wide variety of whale species whom migrate to the coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts every year to feed on the abundant natural resources. We provide the best whale watching in New England as it's an awe-inspiring experience which every human being should have the opportunity to appreciate. We make it a very special event.

For over 35 years, Cape Ann Whale Watch has been dazzling whale watching enthusiasts with sightseeing tours aboard the largest, fastest and most elegant whale watching vessel in Massachusetts, north of Boston, Massachusetts aptly named "The Hurricane II" due to its immense size and speed as it descends upon its destination. Cape Ann Whale Watch's patrons have the opportunity to spend a lot more time with the whales than with other whale watching companies in Gloucester MA since "The Hurricane II" gets to the whales' feeding grounds with much more expediency as well as traveling home faster, therefore more time is actually spent observing whales including but not limited to Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Northern Right Whales, Pilot Whales, Northern Right Whales, Sperm Whales, Sei Whales, Blue Whales (The Largest Whales in the Seven Seas yet seldom seen around Gloucester MA), Fin Whales, Atlantic White Sided Dolphins, Harbor Porpoises and whole host of other fascinating marine creatures as we deliver the best whale watching excursion in Massachusetts.

"The Hurricane II" boasts 115 ft length with over 400 ft of whale watching room from the railings of the upper and lower observation decks for optimum whale watching conditions. There is a heated, furnished indoor cabin with a full service galley serving hot meals, snacks and cold beverages as well as a fully stocked bar with local brews, popular beer, wine and mixed drinks. Cape Ann Whale Watch is truly the finest whale watching tour in the Boston MA area offering the highest level of quality, comfort and service at the cheapest, most affordable price suitable for any family entertainment budget whether on vacation or a day trip. We offer AAA discounts on the adult tickets. We also offer reduced rates for seniors, children and military families.

We go where the whales go. Our vessels communicate with each other as to the location of whales so we will go anywhere to see them on the North Shore or South Shore of Massachusetts including off the coast of Boston, Massachusetts: Salem MA, Newburyport, Cape Cod, Hampton NH, Rowley, Rockport MA, Danvers, Peabody, Swampscott, Revere, Winthrop or wherever else the whales may roam.

We took an early morning Sunday sailing in July. The boat was busy but not overcrowded and a nice mix of children and adults. We were lucky to see three humpbacks (one possibly pregnant) on our sailing. The crew were passionate and informative throughout giving information about the whales themselves and marine conservation with some good interactive talks around the... More

This turned out to be way more fun than I thought it would be. We saw 8 - 10 whales which was incredible. Additionally the entire boat ride was a blast. Everyone young and old were laughing and cheering and enjoying the entire experience.

Great narration throughout the 4 hour trip. We saw 5 whales and a large pod of dolphins. We got to see a mother whale and her calf-both stayed on surface for about 20 minutes. Boat crew was very informative and friendly.

I wanted to see whales and dolphins in the wild and hoped they'd still be in the Atlantic when we visited mid October 2015. This trip didn't disappoint!! We saw several humpback whales with calves and schools of dolphins!!! They were breathtaking! The crew aboard the Hurricane II were genuinely nice, extremely knowledgeable and informative. They truly support the safety... More

I recently took this whale watching tour out of Gloucester, Ma. I had a great time. It was a beautiful day. I was quite fortunate in that it was the first time that the boat had been able to go out in a week because of inclement weather conditions. We got to see quite a few whales on our trip.... More

This is the best whale watching experience we've had and we've been on quite a few others from Montauk to Canada to Alaska to South Africa. We saw 6 different humpback whales at close range waving their flukes and dorsal fins as well as a very large group of dolphins who put on quite a show for us. The weather... More

WE had a wonderful time on last week's whale watch out of Gloucester's Cape Ann Whale Watch. After two cancellations because of weather, the third time was a charm - beautiful (but chilly) day, calm seas, and LOTS of whale activity. It's amazing how close to the boat the whales got, and how long they "performed" for us. A really... More

The guided tour and helpful information during the sightings made it all worth it. Although all experiences are different, we were fortunate enough to see an association of 4 Humpback Whales. It was truly AMAZING!!!

I went with a friend to fulfill one of my bucket list items which was to see a whale watch. The purchase of tickets was easy as you can do it on line, by phone...reservations are required. The website provides with all you need to prepare. The boat can handle seniors and children. The tour guides do an excellent job... More

Had a great day in mid August - it was calm and beautiful. There were 15 of us on a family reunion - ages 2 years to 75. Whales were good and narration was excellent. Got a group rate which helped a lot financially - definitely check it out if over 10 people.
