First time I visited was in July 2011 with my mother and we had an amazing time and saw many humpback whales. I took her back the following year in either late August or early September of 2012 and we did not see any whales so the company have us vouched to come back again which did not expire. Being... I have been on a ton of whale watches from the North Shore to the South Shore of Massachusetts and Cape Ann Whale Watch was the best by far. I took my daugher with me and I'm still a rock star because of it! Their boat is the biggest and the fastest boat in Gloucester. The staff was really cool... More

I see hundreds of people out on the whale watch boats every day steaming out of Gloucester Harbor. It is an exciting trip and people really enjoy it but it would pay to check if there are whales out there because sometimes they are not around!

This is a fun thing to do. We saw some really spectacular sights of whales breeching, and spouting and feeding. It's a nice long boat ride on a sunny day. There's a small snack bar on board, and the crew is nice.

Every summer when visitors come to stay we always do a whale watch trip. It's very educational and the trip out and back are beautiful! Sightings are guaranteed! Many times our boat is followed by schools of jumping dolphins!

We were gone for 6 hours, much longer than described, because we had to go so far to try to see a whale. If I had known in advance I could potentially be gone for 6 hours I would have planned differently. When we asked the staff directly why we were still cruising after such a long period of time,... The whale watching part of the trip is really cool – we went out for hours but we finally did spot a whale, and watched it surface several times. Some advice based on our trip: 1) All of the tours end up at the same place. When we were out, so were four other boat tours. Pick the one that... More

After reading all the reviews on tripadvisor.com for whale watching trips, we chose this one. We were also able to get two tickets on groupon.com for a total of only $58.00!! We went on this trip September 3, 2013. Captain John said the day before they did not see any whales. My husband and I were so disappointed to hear... More

We originally booked out trip for a Friday morning, and booked a hotel around the whale watch. Wednesday before the trip, I got a call that Friday's trip was canceled due to weather. This became a real problem, as we planned to check into the hotel Thursday night and check out on Saturday morning. BTW ... weather.com predicted good weather... More

We took the trip today for my 50th birthday treat and we were not disappointed. It's late in the season but we saw 4 hump back whales as clear as day. We have some great photos. The reviews below say it all. Thank. You for a day I will cherish.
