Description: Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed...
Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed whale sightings for every whale watching tour out to Stellwagen Bank, a national marine preserve about 12 miles off the coast of Gloucester deemed one of the "Top 5 Whale Watching Destinations in the World" by the World Wildlife Fund due to the wide variety of whale species whom migrate to the coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts every year to feed on the abundant natural resources. We provide the best whale watching in New England as it's an awe-inspiring experience which every human being should have the opportunity to appreciate. We make it a very special event. For over 35 years, Cape Ann Whale Watch has been dazzling whale watching enthusiasts with sightseeing tours aboard the largest, fastest and most elegant whale watching vessel in Massachusetts, north of Boston, Massachusetts aptly named "The Hurricane II" due to its immense size and speed as it descends upon its destination. Cape Ann Whale Watch's patrons have the opportunity to spend a lot more time with the whales than with other whale watching companies in Gloucester MA since "The Hurricane II" gets to the whales' feeding grounds with much more expediency as well as traveling home faster, therefore more time is actually spent observing whales including but not limited to Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Northern Right Whales, Pilot Whales, Northern Right Whales, Sperm Whales, Sei Whales, Blue Whales (The Largest Whales in the Seven Seas yet seldom seen around Gloucester MA), Fin Whales, Atlantic White Sided Dolphins, Harbor Porpoises and whole host of other fascinating marine creatures as we deliver the best whale watching excursion in Massachusetts. "The Hurricane II" boasts 115 ft length with over 400 ft of whale watching room from the railings of the upper and lower observation decks for optimum whale watching conditions. There is a heated, furnished indoor cabin with a full service galley serving hot meals, snacks and cold beverages as well as a fully stocked bar with local brews, popular beer, wine and mixed drinks. Cape Ann Whale Watch is truly the finest whale watching tour in the Boston MA area offering the highest level of quality, comfort and service at the cheapest, most affordable price suitable for any family entertainment budget whether on vacation or a day trip. We offer AAA discounts on the adult tickets. We also offer reduced rates for seniors, children and military families. We go where the whales go. Our vessels communicate with each other as to the location of whales so we will go anywhere to see them on the North Shore or South Shore of Massachusetts including off the coast of Boston, Massachusetts: Salem MA, Newburyport, Cape Cod, Hampton NH, Rowley, Rockport MA, Danvers, Peabody, Swampscott, Revere, Winthrop or wherever else the whales may roam.

Oh my gosh . . . never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the exhilaration I would experience as the Hurricane ll moved outward into the sea. Then, when we caught sight of whales blowing water into the air, it was as if time stopped. My experience watching the whales swim alongside our boat was not only mesmerizing,... More

We saw several whales on our trip and the staff was very nice and helpful. The educators on the boat were knowledgeable and great with our kids.

Ride was long but really worth it. Friendly and informative crew, Captain Johnny took us as close as possible that you could see the whales under the water, we was more than 7 whales and they all put up a huge show for us!!!!!!!!!

The trip to view whales took several hours each way but it was well worth it. A staff of well informed educators taught us about the whales enroute which really helped us to appreciate what we were seeing. We saw 6 humpback whales. Sometimes they surfaced right by the boat. I was glad we had taken medicine to prevent seasickness.

Cape Anne whale watch was a fantastic experience. The whales were incredible breaching, tail slapping, and rolling on their backs. Educational component was amazing with great educators on the crew explaining all facets of the whales and the area. Bonus was the games they organized for the kids on the trip back, it was a full family outing that all... More

Just when we were turning to head back to shore we got lucky. In the end we saw 7 humpbacks, two with calves. The captain spent extra time with each whale and it turned into a 5 hour trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of facts.

We went on a day when the sea was smooth, the sun was shining, not many clouds in the sky, and the temperature wasn't too hot. Not much shade on the upper deck.Take your sun screen, sunglasses, and a hat. You spend a good portion of the trip traveling to and from the whale watching sight. I recommend you take... More

This was our first time whale-watching and we were not disappointed ! Numerous sightings, including hump-backs, minke, 2 sharks and a hump-back mother and calf .... just as I thought we had no chance to see anything. We chose a warn, sunny day, cloudless sky, with a mirror-like sea - perfect conditions. The boat almost went right over to Cape... More

Great learning experience! We saw 3 whales today - one single and a mom and her calf. The naturalists taught us all about the whales.
