We came to Good Harbor beach for a wedding and had a good time on the white sand. The beach was a nice length and it offered a really nice view of the nearby island and lighthouse. Parking for the beach is pretty good too with a quick little walk to the sand.

This picturesque Beach is pretty in every direction: from Briar Neck, Thatcher's and Salt Island to the north; to the rocky coast of the Back Shore on the south end, and grassy dunes with boardwalks from the parking lot. At the south end is a footbridge over the creek. The tidal creek creates a great swimming "pool" at high tide.... More

The Gloucester seashore is a one of those places which doesn't seem to get as much attention as many of the fancier sea promenades in the New England Seashore, however, Gloucester's remains a casual place to relax and enjoy the sea breezes outside of the big tourist crowds!

Parking is $25 for non-residents. No trash barrels. Take your trash when you leave. Bathrooms are average. Shore line is seaweed free ( almost). Sand is clean . Nice beach for walking or families building sand castles. No dogs allowed in season.

A wonderful place to just sit down and watch the tide change the scenery. A full range of walkers, dogs, youngsters and the regulars. It looks like there is a snack bar during the summer season but we were visiting pre-Memorial Day.

A great little beach. A fun summer snack bar. Little hermit crabs can be caught in the small river that flows into the sea

Walk along a beautiful stretch of beach with white sand, dunes, surfers and kids making sand castles. With the salty ocean breeze and the pounding surf you will want to spend the day at Good Harbour. There is a pavilion there as well and changing rooms for your convenience. The only drawback is parking. The residents of Gloucester get first dibs on parking and unless... More

We would have loved to have enjoyed the beach but it was in the low 60s and very windy. We did walk to the water's edge and wade a bit. It's an outstanding beach for kids and parents to be sure.

Clean beach and so close to everything, but private....we stayed nearby at the Atlantis Oceanfront Inn - an exceptional location also and great rooms - all with ocean views!
