This ferry is a great way to get to Martha's Vineyard. Be sure to arrive a half an hour ahead of departure time. We left at a peak morning time. It was crowded so we couldn't sit together on the top deck. There are snacks on the lower deck. The ride is scenic and quick. To get five stars they'll... More

We arrived half an hour before the ferry was to leave just after lunch to Martha's Vineyard. There were many people waiting to board but everyone went on (and off) in an orderly fashion. We bought hot chocolate to enjoy during the 35-minute ride. Plenty of seats offering wonderful vistas of the waterfront.

Realizing the limited time I had left to spend with Mom after her diagnosis of stage 4 cancer I had to make a plan to get her to MV very soon. However, the logistics were significantly more challenging as Mom is now restricted to a wheel chair. I called my good friend on MV looking for suggestions as to where... More

We stayed at a hotel just two blocks from the dock where we caught the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The trip out and back on the ferry was wonderful, and all of the scenery was unforgettable. The town of Falmouth was such a treat with lots of shops and restaurants, and we were there about 8:00 in the evening. This... More

You can't go wrong with this ferry service! It can be crowded at peak season-- plan on arriving as early as possible! Parking within walking distance, and a Starbucks down the street. Can be rough on windy days or days with inclement weather--you may get a bit nauseous . If this is a problem for you, consider the bigger ,... More

This is a great ferry that takes you right to Oaks Bluff. You'll want to come and take an early ferry as parking can be limited. There are two places to park for $15-$20 per day. Island Queen is fast, efficient, and if it books up early they leave early!

We have taken this ferry many times and it never disappoints. Always on time, clean, and staff is very friendly. Cash only. Really do love the scenery on the way through the marina and you are to the vineyard within 30 minutes. Just great!
