This is a great way to get to the Vineyard - and a best kept secret of where to be on the Fourth of July! Love this and the people who work here are great too - take advantage of this ferry and have a wonderful day trip.

Nearby parking (not cheap) and a very friendly and helpful staff makes this the easiest way to get from Falmouth to the Vineyard. The ship is immaculately clean, the snack bar has just the right things for a 45 minute trip. The view and schedule complete the picture perfect experience.

Easy, scenic trips from Falmouth Harbor to Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard. Trip takes about 35 minutes. Staff are terrific, helpful and friendly. Bikes and pets welcome. No cars. The boat is clean and stable. Open May-October. Plenty of parking. Easiest way to visit Martha's Vineyard.

The Island Queen is one of the few consistent things in the world today! I and my family have been riding the "Queen" for over twenty five years. I own my own boat but some days it is to rough for my boat, so we jump on the Queen, sometimes we get off and have lunch and catch the next... More

We were staying in Falmouth for a few days and decided to walk to the Ferry to take over to Martha's Vineyard. Super easy, affordable, and roomy. In the summer season, try to get on the boat first (and get in line early when leaving the island) so you get a seat - or at least a spot!

Decided to go to Marthas Vineyard on the foot passenger ferry and could see why it was the last weekend of the season. Weather was a little rough though crew appeared pretty competent. Wouldn't want to take the trip in much rougher weather though.

I am a native Cape Codder and have traveled on both the Steamship and the Island Queen. I can assure you first hand that the Island Queen is far more cleanly than the Steamship Authority. My last experience on the Steamship, on the snack bar level, practically every seat had not just crumbs, but chunks of food crushed in the... More
