One of the only remaining battleships that the public can visit. One can not imagine the sheer size of these dreadnoughts and the power that they can project. Any chance to visit any of them will be well worth the effort. I can not select the actual date of my visit, as it was several years ago, but the ship... More

These Battleships are of the most amazing warships in the world. Everything is kept in the original condition as the sailors had!

We bring our six year old grandson to the "Big Mamie" every time he is town for a visit. He says that this is his favorite thing to do with us. The number of ships to tour are enough that it takes us 4-5 hours to see it all. Our grandson also loves the items offered at the gift shop... More

Everyone from my 5 yr old son to my dad love this destination. The tour of the ship is self guided so you can go at your own pace.

Absolutely amazing. You have to explore it yourself in order to get a full appreciation. We spent most of our time at Battleship Cove on the USS Massachusetts.

While there is an abundance of memorabilia in this exhibit, there is little that is pertinent to Big Mamie. Displays mixed items from multiple branches of the service, an entire section on the USS St. Paul, which has nothing to do with Big Mamie. They even included displays of the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts. Exhibits spanned a greater... More

If you are in the area or looking for something to do, make this one of your choices. A self guided tour is waiting to discover the battleship with videos in selected areas to explain what was happening at the time.

As I walked up the plank to board the Massachusetts I reflected on my college history course. I watched the expression on my 17-year-old's face as he took it all in; he came over and quietly said this ship was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I stood there as he walked toward the starboard side and the emotions overtook... More

The best part of this attraction is the memorial room for all the servicemen and sailors. It is enough to make people cry at the memories. Visit the memorial room last and get a more profound appreciation for the men on this ship.
