Wonderful!

Ship is huge and open for major exploration if you're up to the narrow stairs our sailors had to use!

Great trip! The whole family loved it and had fun. So much to do and the staff was great. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Have been many times before and will be again.

I was impressed by just 3 things: the films of men who had won the Medal of Honor, in which the citations were read and the men themselves explained what had happened; the small area behind the bridge where the Captain, helmsman, navigator, and fire-control officer were ensconced, surrounded by 16” thick steel with small slits so they could see... Having come up for some local flavor, we decided to visit Big Maime, we had both been there before in our younger years. Greatly disappointed witht he customer service and with the unavailability of the boats. All the history going on there, 2 exhibits closed, workmen all around, no one to answer any questions, store staff rude and rushed, uninformed as... A little disappointing after visiting USS Alabama in Mobile. I'm a Vietnam Navy veteran and thought it would be good to bring the Grandsons to Battleship Cove. Attraction was very hard to find, there were very few signs pointing the way. Ships were not real nice, a lot of rust. My former piece of equipment, the ASROC launcher on the... More

UNITED STATES BATTLESHIPS PART I-BATTLESHIP MASSACHUSETTS (THE WARSHIP SERIES I) I sit at the shore of my state, looking over an unsettled river and turbulent ocean, as I have done for over 50 years. I may not be as large as some of my sisters in other parts of my country, being only 681 feet in length, nor am I... More

If you can climb around, get up into the big 16 inchers turret. Smells like oil and diesel, brings back memories.

This is a superbly curated attraction. Unlike many modern museums ie Imperial War Museum North (Manchester, England) it has not been dumbed down to cater for bored teenagers. The explanations are adult, informative and stimulating. I'd never been on a battleship before (and I'm pretty old) and I learned so much. The screen presentations of veterans explaining their time on... More

I live in the area and have visited and enjoyed it numerous times. Other attractions include the destroyer USS Joseph P. Kennedy, a WWII USN submarine, an actual Russian small missile ship and a number of shore displays.
