Be warned fellow travelers. In April this year, I received in writing confirmation of a tour to Tarkine rainforest walk tour. Seven days later (after purchasing accommodation and flights) they cancelled, with no explanation. Further investigations showed that they did not have the numbers to run the trip. What is very concerning is that after they cancelled the tour, their... More

We booked through Tasmanian expeditions who provided all the good quality heavy gear, food and transport to and from Launceston. We found them to be exellent and punctual (thanks Scotty). Fortunately we had perfect weather and we met a good group of people along the way. The track itself was a challenge but well worth experiencing. It is a very... More

We were on the cycle, kayak and walk trip in Tasmania beginning Feb 2015. We have taken many group biking and/or hiking trips previously in many countries, both developed and developing and were extremely disappointed in this trip. Had TE properly disclosed the nature of the trip, we would never have taken it. Here are our reasons: 1. TE advertises... More

Dear Ian S, Thank you for your considered feedback on our Cycle Kayak Walk Tasmania trip. Your experience and your feedback is certainly most appreciated but also very out of the ordinary for Tasmanian Expeditions. We are used to running exceptional trips and receiving glowing reviews, as you can see from the other reviews here on Trip Advisor, but unfortunately... More

It was a great moment passed with all group and our perfect guide Simon, Thomas and Michael. Very professionnal people, they know well all places we visited. Maria Island is the beautifull and perfect ending of this trip. But i will never forget the longest downhill ride of my life. Thks at the all team.

The expertise and professionalism of the 3 guides Oscar, Jordie & Yak was brilliant. They were attentive, organised & fun. The food was better than any trek journey we have participated in. Well done. We will consider other world ex trips abroad..

The weather was fantastic and the multi day rafting on the Franklin River was not to be missed. What made the trip excellent was the guides (Oscar, Jordie and Yak) who not only had experience with the river, but treated us like a big family. The food was second to none. I understand that Tasmania Expeditions has been doing this... More

A not to be missed adventure in Tasmania. We chose the six day, full backpack, camping option. This is not a casual " stroll through the park " , and together with driving hail and gale force winds whilst ascending Cradle Mountain, and rain most days, it was also very challenging. In spite of that, we enjoyed the experience immensely,... More

Being the first time I had travelled on my own, I wanted to be able to find a trip where I was with a group but not a bus load. Including our two trekking guides we had nine, which was a nice amount of people. Ken and Thommo, our trekking leaders were full of knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement. The food... More

With plenty or rain to swell the river and make rafting easier and more fun (bigger rapids and less portage) combined with excellent weather for our trip, it would have been hard not to have had a good time. However the 2 wonderful guides worked tirelessly to give us a fantastic holiday. They were knowledgeable about flora, fauna, geology and... More

It was a great trip and we had a wonderful guide from Tasmanian Expeditions. Thanks to Tommo we had healthy lunches prepared for us to be packed for our hikes and hot meals cooked for us at night. The walk around Dove Lake, the laborious climb to the summit of Cradle Mountain with 360 degree views, the visit to the... More
