If you want to maximize your museum experience on the Vineyard, I'd recommend buying their $20 package that let's to also get into the Cooke House, the Edgartown Lighthouse and the Sculpin Art Gallery as well. The most interesting thing I learned from this was the difference between a Cape, Colonial, Victorian, Federal and Greek Revival Style buildings, which put... More

Wonderful old house set in the midst of busy little town. The grounds are gorgeous, the gardens to be envied. Love a little piece of history here in Edgartown.

Ok we drove here and chased people between Whaling Church and the home. Was told to come back at 11. We did that no one at house or church. Told to go to other museum. We did and bought a pass but this museum we had already visited. Child function around church and house so no one came. So we... More

We arrived just before closing time but the docent still gave us a tour around the house and told us the history of the house and the people who lived there. It was fascinating and we're grateful she was kind enough to do this. Fascinating house and we learnt a lot about the history of Cape houses which we then... More

The Vincent house was built in the 1600s and it is furnished with items that replicated those in that existe in the house. The tour was brief--about 30 minutes--but very informative. The tourguide was very knowledgeable and interesting. All the downstairs rooms were viewed anf the guise explained the origin of the frnishings. When visiting Edgartown, MA you need to... More

We bought the tour package that included admission to the Old Whaling Church, The Daniel Fisher House, The Edgartown Lighthouse, The Martha's Vineyard Museum, and the Old Sculpin Gallery. We visited the Lighthouse, the Museum and the Gallery before making it over to the Vincent House. The tour was a good half hour if not a little longer, and the... More

For $10, you get a guided tour of the Vincent house (c, 1671) and the adjacent Fisher house and "Whaling Church" (both early 1800s), The tours start in, and concentrate on, the Vincent house, a very well preserved Cape Cod style house, with some period furnishings. Our guide was very knowledgable and articulate, happy and able to answer questions. We... More

We bought the $15 tour package which included Vincent House, the Dr. Daniel Fisher House, The Old Whaling Church, Martha's Vineyard Museum, the Old Sculpin Gallery, and the Edgartown Lighthouse. The Vincent House was our first stop, and the most interesting. The tour there lasted about 30 minutes, and the tour guide was knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting... More
