A wonderful windy beach!

This is a great beach, with not nearly enough parking during the summer season - but there is very easy bus transportation there!

Adjacent to KATAMA Airport (1B2) you can fly in with your plane, go to beach parking and walk across the street to the beach. Their is a changing area. Open water so the best surf on the Island. Somewhat a steep drop-off so not the best for little children. Sand is deep and clean. The Marthas Vineyard Bus has a... More

I have to admit that we were slightly disappointed after having read good reviews. I found the beach to be quite narrow, steep access to the water and it looked like a fairly strong undertow. Parking on sand seemed plentiful and the walk to the beach pretty short. Nice sand and endless isolated walking are the best features. I suspect... More

Hard to park but the walk to beach is short. Waves and current can be high and strong. Not great for young kids.

This is a special spot to me. It is a spot we go every year at the end of our trip to savour the last moments of Martha's Vineyard. Each year we have to rip ourselves from the sand to catch our ferry. They have filmed scenes of jaws on this beach, and found megalodon teeth here. There are unfortunatly... More

Conveniently located in Katama. Great for tanning, riding the waves and beach fun. Also wonderful for early morning walks with the peaceful sound of the surf!

One of the finest and most beautiful in all of New England! The only thing I did not like was that vehicles were allowed on the beach.

Wow lovely. A little windy but still nice and warm even at this time of year.Got off the number 8 bus from Edgartown at Right fork. Took a slow walk along the beach and then got back on the next scheduled number 8 bus back into town
