This is a very pretty spot on the island. You can walk right up to the light house to take some great pictures and enjoy the views

Not a lot to say really - it's a lighthouse which you can go up at weekends for a small fee. It was locked when I went during the week.

It is not the most beautiful lighthouse but we love exploring them and this is only a short walk from the downtown area. You can walk right up to the lighthouse and explore the area around it easily.

It was a typical walk thru a dirt path along the beach to the light. But it was well worth the walk, open to the public with access to the tower and outside around the light. And what a view of the harbor with the sun sparkling off the water. Spend as much time as you want. We were there... More

Peaceful walk near downtown, with scenic view of harbor. Sandy trail behind beautiful homes on waterfront.

If you go all the way up the lighthouse, you will have a very nice view of the harbor and Chappaquiddick island. If you are afraid of going up a very steep ladder then don't go, but it is only the last stretch to reach the top.

I love this place. It's in a great setting, you can walk up it for no fee and the volunteer man that gives info is really cool! It's a 5 minute walk from town and out on a sand spit. It can be great at sunrise or sunset for great pictures as the way it's positioned is perfect. We visited... More

We approached the lighthouse from the shore. It appeared unexpectedly and was quite a wondrous vista with the harbor in sight. Did not go inside but found the memorial for lost children that formed the base to be touching. A light in the darkness.

The view of large private Yachts against the Edgartown Lighthouse and Chappaquiddick Island as background, provides great background for personal pictures an just looking at the sites. The view is right in front of a beautiful place to stay called the Harborview Hotel.

I've been going to Martha's vineyard on and off for over 25 years, but had never been inside the lighthouse. It's worth a visit! There is a small admission fee (I think it is $5/person). But it's quite fascinating inside. There are a number of historic photographs going way back. They are arranged along the wide spiral staircase. I didn't... More
