Walk out, $5:00 entrance fee, could see everything without climbing up. Disliked the price, liked the location.

Scenic lighthouse point walk-able distance in Edgartown (Martha's Vineyard), MA. The lighthouse was closed from access, but beautiful to stand under. There is a lot of beach front to explore for shells or marine life. Fine sand is all around the lighthouse and the point; bring blankets and towels to enjoy the views. Most areas have plant and animal life,... More

It's not even the real Edgartown lighthouse, but instead one the town got from Ipswitch MA. It's a very well kept area with a beach steps away, but the lighthouse is rather small and cost $5 to climb. You can get a combo pass to visit the Marthas Vineyard Historical Museum or a combo pass to also climb the Gay... More

Easy bike ride from our house in Edgartown. We parked the bikes on the road then walked down to the lighthouse and the surrounding beach. The beach was pretty, and there were amazing views of the boats from there. We opted not to go up since it is a pretty small lighthouse and cost $5 per person to go up.... More

The picture possibilities are endless, and we hope we have our photo for this year's Christmas Card! It is also a great place from which to watch the sailboats entering and leaving the harbor at Edgartown.

If you can find a place to park, this is a nice spot to take the kids fishing. A trip up the lighthouse is a must, and swimming is also pleasant for youngsters. Very scenic.

The lighthouse is a photographers deean at sunrise, sunset and holidays. It is also the memorial to children who died. It is a wonderful place to surfcast especially during the annual autumn MV Bass & Bluefish Derby!

Experience this picture postcard scene "up-close and personal"... Enjoy a lemonade in a rocking chair on the porch of the Harbor View Hotel, opposite, then wend your way down the beach-rose scented path to the Edgartown Light. The guide is knowledgeable, and the view from the top is astonishing. Take your camera -- and wear your bathing suit under your... More

We were on a tour so we could not get close enough to the lighthouse to enter and climb to the top, but the setting is beautiful. As a lighthouse buff, I was glad to be able to visit even if from a distance.

One of America's great lighthouses. The Edgartown lighthouse is a must see when you visit the island. A great view of the lighthouse is from the porch of the Harbor View hotel where you can enjoy a drink and sunset.
