Calm, serene and perhaps the east most part of the US, this lighthouse must not be missed if you are in Marthas Vineyard. We walked from our hotel to this lighthouse which was approximately a mile and we enjoyed the small and beautiful lanes that lead to this lighthouse. It gets cold after sunset but the colors are worth experiencing.... More

We wanted to visit this lighthouse, but the road and lighthouse were closed for the season. So, we parked on a dead end street and walked the beach to it. It was a long walk, but worth the effort. The lighthouse was closed, so I don't know if there is an entrance fee in season.

Yes, a romantic movie could be filmed here -- maybe it has already been. What a beautiful landscape: grass, blue waters and the lighthouse, standing there in its discreet glory. It's no Bodega Bay, but black birds fly around you -- don't be scared, though, just breath deeply and enjoy the view.

We love to walk around the lighthouse. We love to see it and its surroundings from our balcony, the restaurants and the porch of the Harbor View Hotel. There is nothing we did not like about it.

Not the most exciting tourist attraction, but this pretty and quiet little spot is worth visiting. Bring appropriate footwear for walking on the beach.

The Edgartown Light is one of the five remaining Lighthouses on Martha's Vineyard. Having been saved by the work of many local Island residents it is now open to the public for the summer months each year commencing at the end of May. The website has full dates and times. Whilst therefore, we were unable to visit personally at this... More

Classic New England and the icon of MV and Cape Cod. Very Romantic spot too. After visiting, my now husband and I went back and took our engagement pictures there.

We strolled by here one evening and really enjoyed the short walk to the lighthouse. I enjoy all lighthouses and this one was no different. It is not as tall or unique as some, and we weren't able to go inside, but it was still nice and fun to see up close. There is nice beach to stroll around on... More

The title sums it up! What a view, what a backdrop. One of my favourite places in the world. Definitely worth a visit to the end of North Water Street.

We were very unimpressed with MV. That being said, the Edgartown lighthouse was beautiful in a perfect setting. Seeing Chappy in the background was scenic, especially when eating at the Harbor View Hotel. Walking to the lighthouse and on the nearby beach was a true vacation experience.
