Looking forward to flying in here soon. The runways looked great. A bus stop is within 500' of the tie down area.

While I cannot address the value of the Airfield for use by pilots, I can say that it is one of the more interesting places for breakfast on the Vineyard. The wait staff are courteous and efficient, and the quality of the food is very good. If you're riding bikes to get from here to there on the Vineyard, Katama... More

Grassy airstrip with small diner. Home of Classic Aviation, which are biplane tours. There's nothing like being strapped into an open cockpit vintage biplane, wearing a leather helmet and goggles, and racing down a grassy strip while hoping you catch air before hitting the sand dunes at South Beach. Amazing experience. Easy access from Edgartown via the #8 VTA bus.... More

The Bi-plane ride is awesome. Went with my dad and brother and got to see the whole island. Thrilling experience and they take anybody from a young age as long as your with a guardian. Its on my list to go again.

We were at the Farm Institute and saw a low flying helicopter. On the way home, stopped at the airfield and there it was! We walked over as others had done, met the Army pilots who welcomed us to get in and look around, and answered operational questions. They were on a training flight and stopped for food and a... I was here for a wedding and it was my first time at an air field so have little to compare it to. The planes that were on the grounds were all immaculate. It was neat to see the different types all owned by different people. The grounds were well manicured and overall I got the sense that everyone that... More

Well worth the short #8 bus ride from Edgartown. Kids of all ages will like the planes. Especially the Biplane. You can book a trip with them for sight seeing. There is a cute restaurant nearby that offers local farm fresh food on there menu. A great place for breakfast of lunch. You can even walk, about 30 min, to... More

We found this place on TripAdvisor and both the food and service were excellent. We stopped food lunch. The pancakes were great. Watch planes taking off from the windows.

When planning your bike path, I would definitely advise this air field as a stop. Also the small cafe on the premise is a wonder spot for a quick bite while watching the small aircraft take off and land.
