A must see. Plan to spend time wandering the endless, clean beach, watching the waves as they come in.

What I love about my visit to Martha's Vineyard is all of the amazing places to see. Katama Beach was lots of fun. Four wheeling friendly as well.

I enjoyed all of the beaches on the Vineyard for different reasons; Katama Beach felt like the most remote of all we visited...a vast, gorgeous beach. Nice and sandy (vs. rocky.) Fairly rough seas while we were there in September that made swimming a no-go, but a great beach for relaxing in the ocean air. Loved the bike path that... More

Wow. We had a perfect beach day here. Probably the best beach I've ever been too. The day was extremely hot but the breeze on the beach kept us cool. It was almost chilly. We parked in the "middle" thanks to an insider tip and found it was hardly crowded. A great beach for waves, people watching and relaxing and... More

Rode bikes over the beach. There is plenty of parking along a parallel street and some stalls to change clothing. The beach is clean and the waves strong. Great place to spend a lazy day!

Wonderful bike and a great getaway within the getaway. Loved the general store on the way. A good use of our time.

Nice beach, windy but clean. No restrooms! Easy access by car or bicycle. Bigger waves than State beach.

Bring your paddle board and sunscreen and a giant blanket to rest on afterward! Bus is best to avoid parking!

I thoroughly enjoyed flying my Skyhawk to Katama Airfield. Being based on a short grass strip, the 1B2 runways seemed immense. Stopped off for ice cream at Right Forks Restaurant, then taxied to the ocean end of the field. Less than a 200' walk to a beautiful beach. The small fee for using the field was well worth it.
