Nice family experience - To go where they are cooking!

We go every time we are on the cape as they make the BEST jams/jelly on the Cape. It is really nice when all the ladies are cooking. They have a degustation area and you can try... read more

Lots of jam to choose from and touristy things. Just like any other jam store anywhere else in the U.S. Friendly staff.

We go every time we are on the cape as they make the BEST jams/jelly on the Cape. It is really nice when all the ladies are cooking. They have a degustation area and you can try some wonderful things. For small ones, do not miss the little exposition of Peter Rabbit. They have a few critters from the book,... More

Love this place. There is so much to do here and nothing is rushed. From walking through the peaceful gardens, looking at the wildlife in and around Smiling Pool, to visiting the jam kitchen and tasting some of the jams, jellies and preserves. This is a hidden Gem in East Sandwich, Mass.

fantastic place to buy great jams and jellies and if you are lucky enough to be there in time, they will teach you how to make it. Loved the whole place.

Jams, jellies, pickles in the kitchen, Thorton Burgess' Peter Rabbit and his private library, and spectacular gardens, all in one stop! We visiting 20 years ago and there is a new animal center with a few animals, a rabbit, of course. Worth the trip! A donation is all that is asked. The gift shop has the jams and jellies, honey,... Great trails, gift shop, programs for children. Mary the Director is a fabulous story teller. So many committed volunteers. Bring your children and grandchildren to build a strong appreciation for all nature has to offer!

The Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen is such a lovely spot! I think that we had as much fun looking around outside as we did inside. The grounds are really beautiful. During our visit the jam kitchen was not in action but even so we enjoyed walking through in envy. I would love a kitchen that big. The... More

I made my first trip to Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen, located in East Sandwich, Massachusetts, on October 21, 2013. On that trip, we visited the small museum, took the nature walk on the grounds, visited the gift shop, and looked around the Jam Kitchen. On my return trip on July 8, 2015, my friend Linda and I... The natural setting that inspired the Peter Rabbit and shining pond stories is this beautiful property in Sandwich. The jams produced on site are remarkable as well. A gem, truly.

Amid the delicious smells from the jam kitchen, take the time to stroll through a library and display room of Thornton Burgess memorabilia. If you're familiar with his stories you'll feel like a kid again. If the world and stories of Thornton Burgess are new to you, ask the librarian to find "The Most Beautiful Thing in the World" for...
