This is a very small but nice art museum. On display during our visit was a collection of paintings of light houses in one gallery and in the other gallery a collection from Anthony Quinn (who knew he was an artist?). Their permanent collection in the basement wasn't as interesting.

The Cape Cod Museum is a gem, well-located near the Cape Playhouse and Cape Cinema. The current Anthony Quinn exhibit (until August 25) is outstanding! Well worth the trip.

We set out for the Museum because it was "free Friday" thanks to the Highland Street foundation. We were pleasantly surprised by the Anthony Quinn exhibit - we had no idea he was a sculptor and a painter. What a variety of art created by him over the years. There was a guitar player in the gallery rooms adding a... More

While it is not large, the Cape Cod Museum of Art is a jewel, filled with a mix of high quality temporary exhibitions and a small permanent collection. When we visited, the special exhibits were outstanding, one on encaustic art which was a highly unusual grouping of this form of art, and the other an exhibit of works by local... More

Another great place to visit when you cannot go to the beach. Good family attraction if your kids are well behaved.

Some good Cape-based or inspired art. Small museum but nice space, lovely grounds. We just missed the Provincetown show. :(

Besides going to the Art Receptions that are wonderful for both the Museum and the Artist, the classes are First Class. Thank you.

This is a terrific art museum. We visited during show on Cape Cod artists- I had no idea of the incredible caliber and numbers of leading American artists got their start, or later in their life summered on the Cape. Masterpiece after masterpiece line the walls and the curator notes for the exhibit are terrific. This a great stop if... More

Surprising in the diversity and quality of its exhibits; surprising in the light and openness of the galleries; surprising in the warmth and interest of the staff. An altogether delightful museum which partakes of the special qualities of the Cape. Don't miss it.
