Very nice local art!! Its location is also very attractive. The art work includes a nice variety of mediums. I enjoyed it very much.

My sister teaches oil painting classes at the museum and I had the pleasure of sitting in on one of her classes this past week. (She's a award winning oil painter and I was delighted to observe her and her students.) The museum is set back from the road and offers a lovely setting in a beautiful building. I took... More

Pretty place and varied art gallery. Small venue theater downstairs. Very nice gift shop. Events held there on occasion. Plenty of parking.

My mother and went to ask about summer classes at the Museum of Fine Arts. Both being professional artists, we though it would be a fun thing to do to keep us both painting. The person who greeted us was both snobby and impolite. We told her so and left. Then a friend of mine told me that she went... More

This is a very small but nice art museum. On display during our visit was a collection of paintings of light houses in one gallery and in the other gallery a collection from Anthony Quinn (who knew he was an artist?). Their permanent collection in the basement wasn't as interesting.

The Cape Cod Museum is a gem, well-located near the Cape Playhouse and Cape Cinema. The current Anthony Quinn exhibit (until August 25) is outstanding! Well worth the trip.

A beautiful regional museum with inspiring temporary exhibits as well as an important collection of local artists. If you are in the area for a while consider taking one of their art classes. A particular shout out to Nat Doane who teaches beginning and advanced pottery classes.

We set out for the Museum because it was "free Friday" thanks to the Highland Street foundation. We were pleasantly surprised by the Anthony Quinn exhibit - we had no idea he was a sculptor and a painter. What a variety of art created by him over the years. There was a guitar player in the gallery rooms adding a... More

While it is not large, the Cape Cod Museum of Art is a jewel, filled with a mix of high quality temporary exhibitions and a small permanent collection. When we visited, the special exhibits were outstanding, one on encaustic art which was a highly unusual grouping of this form of art, and the other an exhibit of works by local... More
