They have a different lineup of movies than does the average theatre, with indies, and foreign films, etc. the prices are right and you can become a member to save on each movie. Lots of parking and late afternoon shows available for after work.
The Cape Cinema is a good way to spend a rainy day on the Cape. Easy to get to, new releases, clean and fun.
This 1930 cinema house is a perfect place to enjoy a movie. You will fall in love with the Art Decor interior. Pointed out to us by our friends, is the lovely 6400 sq. ft. mural by Rockwell Kent.
The seats are very comfortable and the screen is very large with great audio.

The movie was great and the theatre was as well. On a chilly January Saturday afternoon the line was out the door a good 15 minutes before the show started - get there early. Seats are comfortable - like watching a movie at home. Sells beer wine and food from a local bakery. Prices are comparable to the big cinemas...

It's quite an experience to see films at the Cape Cinema- from the historic building to the beautiful art deco mural that covers the whole ceiling, to the plush seats covered in white linen. The movie choices are always interesting, and frequently are not available anywhere else on the Cape.

Old fashioned. Part of the charm because it gives it a Cape-y feel. The movie selection can be independent and international, which is very good, as it often gives a different option than the big movie houses. The seating is banquet chairs, the food is not outrageous in selection, so prepare accordingly.
beautiful classic restored 1930s theatre with curved ceiling painted with a wonderful mural. great indy films, close to great food and drink as well as art. a must see on the cape!
First, you pick out a homemade treat. Second, you sit in a real chair. Third, you look up at a beautiful ceiling by artist, Rockwell Kent and the movie hasn't even started. Great way to spend a rainy day.
