Broadway quality acting. Great sets. Great atmosphere. Different plays to suit everyone's tastes. Only in the summer however.

Attended great murder mystery. Actors were fabulous! Many actors made their debuts there: Gregory Peck, The Gabor Sisters, Shirley Booth (her Oscar is there), Peter Fonda, Betty Davis, and more. Posters of past performanaces from years ago are available for sale in the gift shop. Locally made pastries are for sale during the intermission. Met the director of the Playhouse... More

The Cape Playhouse has consistently presented fine theater. The new producer/director Mark Cuddy has done a fine job adding more musicals and innovative theater (e.g., Second City) to garner more attendance.

Great off Broadway environment. Really impressed with real live professional actors up close and personal. Bumped into Joanne Worley in the gift shop and helped her select a scarf. She was simply gracious and funny.

This is a throwback to a more elegant time in the American Theatre! The gracious building--a huge, shingle-covered barn--is a stunning home for the high-quality work being done. Don't miss the posters of past productions lining the walls of the lobby and balcony: see how many famous faces you recognize who brought great stories to this beautiful stage!

What a wonderful theater! This converted barn is such a throwback to a bygone time. If you are looking for large, comfy seats, opulent décor and a large concession stand, you'll be disappointed. But, if you are looking for world-class productions, while sitting on a cushion in a rustic barn, going outside at intermission for a cold drink, then this... More

Our first time at the Cape Playhouse; an older building with bench type seating was ok; folks had warned us................the performance was quite delightful and thought provoking. Christopher Durang writes with an edge, a sarcastic and ironic perspective, and wants to make the audience a bit uncomfortable. These fine actors kept up with the excellent writing; we laughed and almost... More

Come to the Playhouse and you will not be disappointed. Comedies, mystery, drama, singing, dancing. Pick what you like and prepare to be amazed that this quaint venue on Cape Cod can host such talent. It is roughly like a barn but the seating is very comfortable with plenty of leg room (I am 6'1" and was fine) and air... More

We went to see My Fair Lady in this lovely old theatre in Cape Cod. For such a small and intimate theatre we thought the production values were really high and the leading lady had a wonderful voice. It honestly could have been the West End. It was a warm night so we had drinks on the lawn during the... More
