The Cape Playhouse, the oldest summer theatre, has professional productions in a very small, intimate theatre. Yes, one realizes people were smaller years ago ... The seats and spacing is tight. I am not a big person, but I was squashed. But the productions are usually very well produced, and the sets are well done. The theatre hires professional actors... More

We had a great experience at the playhouse recently. Be advised that the balcony seats are kind of far from the stage and the balcony is on a steep incline. Other than that, professional staging, great acting, and well done performances!

A nice venue for some very good productions during the summer season, the Cape Playhouse has maintained its tradition of providing enticing entertainment. Set in a renovated barn, the plays are excellent with fine acting on professionally designed staging. "Freud's Last Session" (an off-Broadway production) was exceptional with a masterful handling of a two-man script that highights their major differences... More

Great regional theater with a very polished production. We really enjoyed their "Odd Couple". The theater building is a rustic gem that attracts a friendly crowd. Enjoy a glass of wine outside during intermission.

We thoroughly enjoyed 'The Odd Couple' here recently. A lovely atmosphere here, on a warm summer evening. Tickets a little expensive, but we had excellent seats in the second row, with a great view. Didn't need our cushions as the bench seats were padded and perfectly comfortable. Would definitely recommend a visit, if something in their program takes your fancy!

Terrific show.....Cape Playhouse always puts on quality productions ! Highly recommend ! Look for one of the stars to be playing Ralph Cramden on Broadway in 2015.....he will be perfect for the part !

My husband and I have been season ticket holders for over 20 years now and have enjoyed our cape cod summers, which have always included a lot of great musical productions at the cape cod playhouse. However, this year we are thoroughly disappointed to learn about the upcoming line-up of all plays. The main reason we went to the playhouse,... More

The best theater here. Great productions! Every seat in the house is OK for viewing. There is a balcony. Go online and see the layout before purchasing tickets. Cozy, old bldg. Everything I've ever seen here, I've thoroughly enjoyed! A little pricier than some of the other local theaters. Productions usually are more elaborate. Nice grounds, refreshments available at intermission.... More

My family and I loved the historic playhouse. The venue is set amidst beautiful, tall trees; parking is easy and free; the atmosphere is inviting. We sat near the stage and enjoyed a birds-eye view of all of the dancing and singing. The seats are wooden benches...and a pad would add a lot of comfort! Overall, a very nice evening!

We have spent at least a month every summer on Cape Cod and it would not be complete without getting tickets to the historic Cape Playhouse. "Hello Dolly" was fabulous this summer but "Radio Gals" was not (we left at intermission). There is plenty of free parking, tickets are reasonable and seating is good (bring a cushion for your back... More
