This was an excellent place at Dennis for renting bikes. Barb & her staff couldn't have been more helpful. We got 2 excellent road bikes ( mountain bikes also available ) which made short work of the trail, which is an excellent paved track. Barb & crew pulled out all stops, selecting the right size bikes for us, changng pedals... More

Our family (2 parents and a speed demon teen) did the entire length of the Cape Cod Rail Trail on a lovely mid-April day, on Patriot's Day weekend, a three day weekend holiday in Massachusetts. The trail is 22 miles from Dennis to Wellfleet; 44 miles roundtrip. The trail was not as scenic as we'd hoped; the most scenic part... More

The rail trail can be done in bits or in longer pieces. As our children have grown, we've explored it more and more. Mostly it is flat, so it's good for all abilities. I do like the trails on the National Seashore more. They are more picturesque and breath taking- in more ways than one! More

This is a long stretch of paved bike-way in the rural woods from Dennis to P -Town.(27miles or so). It's for walkers, dogs on leash, skaters, cyclists, all of whom pretty much share the road, keeping to the right so others can pass. Pooper scooper and helmet laws prevail. Every now and then an ice cream shop, bike fix it... More

You can go from Wellfleet to Chatham. Pleaces to get ice cream on the way. Start at the bike store in Wellfleet to get air in your tires. More

There are two spurs one to beautiful Chatham and the other to Truro. It is an old rail bead hence the name but it is flat and recently repaved for a good portion. An early morning ride can be exhilarating. People are friendly and respectful even in the height of tourist season. More

I live on Cape Cod and use the rail trail a lot in the summer and fall months. It is a wonderful resource and gives a chance to see the cape without the crowds, passing through woods, passing many ponds, cranberry bogs, wetlands. There are places to stop and get something to eat and the trail is quite flat making... More

The Rail Trail is a 20 mile paved route starting in Dennis and ending in Wellfleet. It is a great spot for walking, jogging, and cycling. Go early if you want to do some serious cycling as the Trail becomes conjested as the day progresses and you need to be careful of slower traffic and children. You pass by cranberry... More
