Get there early despite the fact that there is plenty of parking. Lifeguards on duty when in season. Clean and enough space without feeling cramped. Handy to downtown Chatham, great ocean views and easy to walk along. Sun, sand, water..Perfect. No smoking so put those cigars away people.

Ridgevale is a great spot to soak up the sun on the Cape. A foot bridge leads you from the parking lot to the beach. Along one side of the sandy landscape is an inlet where you'll see families with little ones using their fishing nets and buckets to catch "the big one". The ocean expands on the other side... More

Beautiful bay beach with tide pools, sail boats, paddle board and kayak rentals. Bring bug spray, the green head flies can be brutal if the wind isn't blowing the right way. Bay beach, so calm waters for kids of all ages.

It is the perfect beach for setting up an area and hanging out until dusk. The inlet is tremendous for kids. My daughter and I saw a fox there later one evening. The only drawback: If you're paying $15 to park, the porta-potties could have enough TP to see the day through. They are positioned right by the wee bridge... More

Our rental cottage was located just up the road from this beautiful beach. It was definitely my favorite beach area of any we visited all week in June 2014. There is a beautiful marsh area filled with wildlife such as crabs, snails and shore birds of all kinds. On my early morning walks to this beach I crossed the wooded... More

I always like to see how the beach changes from year to year. There is a parking lot but I am not sure about the parking because I usually walk there. It is a little beach when the tide is in but very nice, private and a good family place.

What our kids would say as they tumbled out of the car when we finally arrived! It's a perfect beach for families/friends - inlet on one side for tots and mild surf and gradual depth on the other. There is a snack bar and very congenial spot for all. Lots of splashing and laughter. Or sit in your beach chair... More

Tidal pools on one side for the little ones, and the ocean for everybody. Clean and accessible, but a small parking lot.

We were surprised that the guardhouse was closed and no fee was charged, but were not too happy at the lack of a restroom. Surely they could leave at least one porta-potty in place until the end of September? There were plenty of cars in the parking area on a hot, early September day. We spent several hours sitting in... The kids loved this beach and did not want to leave! Calm, shallow water for the kids to play in and explore.
