Visited during tax free weekend. Staff charged tax on our $105 sailboat rental. When we pointed out that it was tax free weekend, first they said they didn't know if tax free weekend was in effect (hint - it was). Then they declared "we don't take part in that, its only for like flat screen TVs". Right. My guess is... More

Fun for family and kids. nice local beach with snack shack, kayak, and canoe rentals. Inland waterway allows for safe play for kids and paddlers. Open ocean beach is clean and has several outdoor porta-potties. Covenient to Chatham and Harwich off Rt 28. this can be a very busy place on a summer day, weekend or weekday. There is a... More

A little seaweed on the beach but my three kids loved this beach. Small waves facing the ocean and a great tide pool area in the marsh. Ride the current on the boogie board, collect crabs and small fish near the marshy areas, enjoy slightly warm shallow water in the tide pools. It was the perfect beach day for every... More

Great beach for kids due to shallow bay that is great for hermit crab searching. Kids had a blast with the fishing nets and playing with boogies boards in the shallow calm water. You can also walk over a few feet to the other side of the beach for rougher surf and more typical long, picturesque cape cod beach. Snack... More

My husband and I went down to the beach with our flashlights in the dark to pick up sea shells and see the sea creatures crawling around in the sand. Boy did I learn a lot !!! the crabs were nibbling on my toes in the sand. Cool!!! Saw a baby horseshoe crab shell, but it was dead. Got lots... More

Great ok r to really watch the tide come in. Nice teaching moments about seashore behavior. Portapots. Take a lunch and drinks as well as an umbrella if planning to stay all... More

Great beach for families. Kids love the tide pools and trying to catch little crabs and critters. Be sure to rent a kayak or paddle board and explore the inlet further. Nice little snack shack there as well to grab a quick lunch or ice cream treat. Lots to do there to fill up your afternoon.

The children can stay busy in the tide pools for hours. The Nantucket Sound is gentler than the beaches on the Atlantic side. We do love the National Seashore, though, so go up there as well, for the beach and bike riding.

Convent parking, rest room, snack bar and there is always room. Ideally located. Used less as most tourist would use Harding beach or Lighthouse being closer to most accommodations.

Great beach for kids! There are tidal pools to wade in with lots of little marine critters the kids can see. We LOVE this beach and return annually to enjoy it.
