It was great to see all the fisherman come in and unload their boats. You can see all the seals up close!

Nice walk from our B&B. They have an upper level deck that allows you to directly look down on the fishing boats unloading their catches, and into large, iced transport boxes. Seals hover around the boats waiting for the occassional fish to drop off the boat. Kids will love it.

A great selection of fresh fish. You can also spend some time at the pier watching the boats bring in and deliver their "catch".

We go to the fish pier every time we visit Chatham. From picking up over stuffed lobster rolls, to bringing home fresh local caught fish for dinner you can't go wrong. Watching the boats unload the catches is added fun.

Not a substitute for a boat trip out to see the seals properly, but seals there certainly are, here. There were 4, competing with the various varieties of gull over the scraps from the unloading fishing boats. The smell is not for the weak of stomach! Parking is a challenge if you go by car rather than walk from the... More

Delighted that we stopped! We got the fisherman's platter - the portion was huge and included scallops, shrimp, cod, clams, fries and onion rings - fresh and delicious. We also happened to be at the pier as 2 boats were unloading their catch of the day. We hope to stop again before vacation is over!

Fun to watch the seals and the local fishermen unload their catches. Fish market is part of the complex so you can order something to eat/drink, but there is virtually no seating. Also a small Coast Guard substation that can be visited.

First time in Chatham and we were encouraged to walk down the the fishing pier. Totally worth the hike-- not too far of a walk from downtown, went on a Monday morning so wasn't super crowded but can imagine that the parking situation can be a bit of a nightmare. Boats were being unloaded during the time that we went... More

We came because we'd heard that this is a good place to see seals, and while we did and liked it a lot, the real show turned out to be watching the fishing boats unload their catches. Not coming from a fishing town and not being familiar with any of this, I found it quite interesting to see the boats... More
