This shop is a definite must see for people who love to go antique shopping. The store is small and quaint and consists of antique maps from all over the world, meticulously collected from all of the old World Atlases. They have any region you are looking for and the prices can range anywhere from $50 to $3,000, some even... More

On a family trip to Cape Cod we've decided to make the trip to Chatham from Hyannis. The shop offers an incredibly diverse collection from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and is well organised by region. As my interests lie in classical antiquity, I was well pleased by a vast selection of old maps and atlases of Greece and Rome.... More

Our family is from Minnesota, and we were on the Cape visiting friends in Hyannis. Being a bit of a cartophile, you can imagine my excitement when I found this little gem. By "little", I mean that the store is inside the owners' home (who, by the way, are perfectly pleasant people), but don't let that insinuate that the selection... More

The Maps of Antiquity shop is amazing. I had never heard of this place and have visited the cape are a few times. I happened to stumble on it reading a review of a restaurant nearby. It peaked my interest and I thought I would take my girlfriend there without telling her. She was very surprised and loved it. She... More

I was blown away by how knowledgeable the gentleman that owns Maps of Antiquity is. This place is jam packed with every kind of map imaginable and it seems that he has every single one of them memorized as well as the story behind them. And both he and his staff were attentive and eager to help us find everything... More

This a wonderful shop and the owner has a photographic memory for what he has in stock. We purchased two maps and he was able to show us many more, including a very large format version. When we left, my husband said to me ... that guy "knows his onions!" Absolutely a must see (or contact) if you are looking... More

I took my family on vacation here. I travel a lot and always like to bring back something a little unique from the place I visited (something other than a t-shirt). I decided to look for a map of Cape Cod. We found this charming cottage. I was nervous because my two young nephews were with us and didn't want... More

My wife and I stopped at Maps of Antiquity during a day trip on the Cape and are so glad that we did. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the selection of maps was fantastic. Definitely somewhere we'll stop again.

I first visited this store in 2011 while on vacation with a girlfriend and bought a map for my map-obsessed husband, which he loved. Our anniversary is coming up and we just returned from a trip to Germany, so I checked out the web site for a map that he might like as a gift. I found the perfect one,... More
