I very much appreciated the stroll on the grounds and the small cemetery. Tennyson's "Crossing the Bar" was extremely poignant written on the plaque of one monument and was one of the most powerful experiences of the trip.

Off season it's easier to park and take a nice long walk on the beach. You often see the seals baking in the sun as you walk south towards Monomoy. You can walk across and see the Monomoy Refuge Park and on the way back it's just beautiful seeing Chatham and the lighthouse in the distance no matter what the... More

We love visiting in the winter when there are great pictures of the snow swirling around, especially on the sandy beaches. The lighthouse is a great backdrop for the winter beach pictures if you can brave the winds!

My son is military bound and loved seeing the working light house that is occupied by the coast guard, it's worth seeing!

This was one of three Cape Cod lighthouses we viewed and I was happy we did. It was very scenic. The parking lot fills up quickly but people came and went so we were able to get a space.

Ok it's just a light house, but one with a great deal of history and a true landmark of Chatham and Cape Cod. There are great views from this location. A few times a year you can go inside and climb to the top for a great experience. You have visited Chatham unless you park at Chatham Light.

When in Chatham stop by the light house - it has a lot of history and beauty. "The Finest Hours" was recently filmed in Chatham and the Lighthouse. The beach below is a beautiful walk. Parking is limited.

Great setting for photography - one side is the Chatham lighthouse, the other the ever shifting sand bars off of the Chatham shore line.

We often come here from Harwich Port during noreasters to watch the ocean and hear it roar. When the sharks are around it is fun to watch the folks tagging these great whites.
