A wonderful area for photos and enjoying the lighthouse and view but parking is tight and the area quite congested with the road being so close. The main road actually separates the lighthouse from the parking area. Yes, even trucks go by with all the noise. You have to be on your toes which spoils what could be a remarkable... More

This is on the tourist trail, particularly for coaches so gets quite busy. It is a very ordinary looking lighthouse which you can only view from the road, 200 meters away.

The Chatham Lighthouse is perched atop a small bluff which affords a nice view of the sandbars and marshes off the east coast. The lighthouse is actually quite small and unremarkable but is nonetheless a quintessential New England structure - it is the sole survivor of twin lighthouses which used to exist on the same site. The early morning light... More

Walked about 15 minutes from downtown Chatham, definitely safe to walk. Made it in time for sunset which was beautiful.

We were not fortunate to be in Chatham when the tours were offered and didn't get to see the inside of the lighthouse or climb it. Perhaps my rating would be higher if we had taken the tour. From the outside, this is a nice lighthouse and is worth seeing, but we also saw several others on our trip to... More

While in Chatham, you must pay a visit to the the Chatham Lighthouse. We always make sure we stop at the Chatham Lighthouse in the evening to see how the light illuminates the ocean. There is a tour of the lighthouse weekly and it is well worth the time to go on the tour. Seeing the inside of a working... More

Four family members visited the Lighthouse. We parked close to town and walked the rest of the distance because there is limited parking at the actual lighthouse and you may only stay for 20 minutes in the close by spots. We waited about 25 minutes to go up into the lighthouse. They have now added some covered tents so you... More

The changing tides and power of the ocean are magnificent and remind me of who really is in charge. No matter how often you visit it is always a different scene.
