Avery's is the real thing - a true general store with staff who know their stuff and are easy to deal with. The standouts are the meat counter where you can get the best steak around, the hardware section, and the work boots. more
A true general store. They have everything you need for a life in the country. Definitely worth a stop if you are driving the Mohawk Trail. I like the clothing selection. Not a destination, but a stop along the way. NOT a cutesy touristy destination; a sensible place to get groceries, hardware, clothing, other supplies. more
The locals claim that "if Avery's doesn't have it, you don't need it." The thing is, every square inch is covered with items you might not have even known existed, and certainly wouldn't have guessed their use.
