Great small ski area, never crowded, mellow vibe, really fair prices. Though its a small Place the conditions of the snow are usually as good or better than the big places. For example yesterday it was icy at a large ski area in vermont but nice soft corn at berkshire east. Its a pretty young local crowd, and everyones always... More

When I got up this morning I didn't know whether to rake my lawn or go skiing. I'm happy to report that skiing was my choice and along with several friends I enjoyed an amazing day of skiing with perfectly groomed trails. My skiing at this area dates back 50 years to the Thunder Mountain days. Since that time, I've... More

The lack of natural snow may keep people from hitting the slopes, but Berkshire East can make the woods white. The skiing 1/19 was very good, and it started snowing at 7pm and got even better. the lodge gets crowded with the busloads of kids and racers, but the lift lines are short, and the trails not crowded. The $4... More

I'm a trip advisor guy and have been coming to the Beast for years and wanted to share my thoughts with those considering skiing here. First, this is a real mountian. If you a skiers skier the pitch on some of the terrain is as steep as any thing in southern Vermont excepting 500 yards of Ripcord at Mt Snow.... More

Berkshire East is a great local mountain with much better terrain than you might expect for a somewhat out of the way spot like Charlemont. I learned how to downhill ski there and always enjoy going back- and its affordable More

What skiing used to be: a resort with great snow, superb grooming, minimal or no wait for a lift (even on weekends), uncrowded runs. Great mix of beginner slopes for our child (including a bunny hill with a magic carpet and one with a nice, low, short chairlift for beginners) and challenging terrain for us. Unloading area right next to... More

I visited Berkshire East for the first time with my teenaged son over the MLK holiday weekend, expecting the inevitable crowds that I'm used to at other ski resorts on holidays. They had received over a foot of snow earlier in the week so the conditions were excellent, yet there were NO CROWDS. The resort was just beautiful - not... More
