When we stayed in Brewster we went to their General Store. What a find! They have a little bit of everything in there. From touristy gifts to some nice antique "finds". They carry locally made items including fudge that was to die for. A great mix of old and new. Just a great place to poke around in when it... More

The Brewster General Store has everything you need, want and don't even know you "need" til you see it! Penny Candy, fudge, t-shirts, aprons, cookie cutters, candles, balls of string, toys, comic books, foods, pet treats, kitchen tools,....everything. Old wooden floors hold the stories of decades past. Take a walk upstairs and look at some of their great antiques (not... More

The Brewster Store is always the highlight of our summer. We are fortunate to be able to walk up every day as parking is limited during busy times. Let the kids work on their math by adding up the "penny candy" they pick and bag themselves. Play the Nickelodian under the stairs. Sadly, the morning donuts have changed, but it... More

It's a true old fashioned general store, crammed to the nook with everything to use in the old cape home, postcards, memorabilia and "penny candy" where you make our own selection and add up the cost of your sugary treasures yourself. The patina of the original general store with friendly staff offering an eclectic selection is preserved perfectly. In many... More

Straight out of Norman Rockwell, a story that has a little bit of everything. Games and cards. Old-time candy. Needed kitchen items. Worth a stop on 6A on Cape Cod.

Do you like old fashioned general stores? You will love the Brewster Store. Wander to your hearts content and you will not escape without finding something you really need to have. Then stop in the adjacent building for yummy ice cream.

What a charming and quaint shopping experience on the cape! This store has a wonderful selection of souvenirs and reminders of days gone by, reasonable priced, and everyone is pleasant and friendly. I got a genuine squash scraper! Hope to visit again one day!

A step back in time to a place that offers a relaxed space to browse, shop or simply chat. We picked up some pretty neat souvenirs & little mementoes of our stay in the Cape - none of which we are glad to say were tacky! We found it hard to leave & only managed to do so after coffee,... More

This is a fun place to visit, part old time general store, part Brewster tourist stop. You can get lots of weird items specific to Brewster and the Cape, penny candy (not really a penny anymore), lots of random housewares. They have a fun mixture of nice items and kitsch. A bit of food too, and some donuts/fudge. It's one... More

Penny candy, souvenirs, cobalt glass, books....it's a place to stop to mail your postcard and have a look around. I always find something to pick up (more postcards) and the history around the place is a big pull.
