Jacob's Pillow is a Mecca for dance enthusiasts, and a cultural treasure for everyone. The grounds are spectacularly beautiful with gardens and picnic areas, a cafe, a fine dining venue, a snack bar, two wonderful performance theaters and the most incredible Inside/Out stage with the Berkshires as the backdrop. There is also a wonderful exhibit with dance as the theme.... More

Beautiful landscaped property with breathtaking views. I have seen many dance performances but none like the one I saw at inside out for FREE. It was called flight- the dancers became the birds and I was flying right along with them. The backdrop of open sky and trees only added to the mystic. The whole place vibrates with energy created by... More

We stumbled upon Jacobs Pillow in the mid 80's and returned every year until we moved out west in 2002. We have since returned on two occasions introducing our grandchildren to this most special dance venue set in the Berkshire forest. It truly is a wonderful place steeped in tradition and culture.

Something sets apart. Maybe it's the woodsy environment that is so laid back. Maybe it's the many free things that are open to all - lectures, rehearsals, exhibits, etc. But, in the end, it all comes down to the dance performances. So varied and so wonderful. I am not a big fan of dance ----haven't been to a performance in... More

Nestled in the mountains, off the beaten path, there is a place for aspiring dancers to be taught, to practice and perform. The setting for this encampment could not be lovelier, buildings for specific purposes are easily transverse and the complex can be walked in only a couple of minutes. The first building we came to was the Barn. This... More

This was my first trip to Jacob's Pillow. What a wonderful facility. So many opportunities: a variety of dance styles offered in a gorgeous setting. A few restaurants available on property too. My daughter who is a dancer wants to go back to study there, but what surprised us the most is how much our 9 year old sports focused... More

As a Board member of a dance company I have had the chance to enjoy Jacobs Pillow a couple of times. The venue is special in many ways, starting with its total focus on dance but presenting the broad array of dance styles. While we were there this week performances included modern ballet and hip hop. Even more special was... More

This was our second visit to Jacob's Pillow because we live many states away and do not always arrive in time for its season. But if you are lucky enough to be there at the right time, don't miss it. The spot is historic and magical and the performances varied but really good. This time we got to see the... More

I became a member this year. The outdoor stage is a gorgeous setting and great free performances. (Bring bug spray though) There are nice dining options between the free outdoor stage before going to the ticketed performances. I have tickets for 4 different ballet performances and looking forward to them and the outdoor stage if weather permits. The free performances... More
