Terrapin Adventures is a whole lot of fun if you go with a group. We decided to try the Terrapin Tower, which is basically a super-tall structure with four sides. On two sides are rock-climbing walls (one is easy and one is hard) and on the other two sides are ropes/obstacle courses (rope net, tire ladder, etc.). Once you get... More

Our women's group of 40-50 year olds went here for an afternoon. We did some mostly silly team games but the big attraction was the zip line and the giant swing. We all got outside our comfort zones a bit but had a great time climbing up the ladder to jump into the air for the zip line and swinging... More

To celebrate an upcoming birthday, I wanted to challenge myself. The Zip Line at Terrapin Adventures was amazing. Imagine walking on a high wire holding on to a rope. Twenty feet above the ground, tethered in safely but definitely feeling the distance to the ground. I reached a tiny platform and jumped off with no hesitation. Great feeling to face... More

I have heard of Terrapin Adventures for some time, but have never been there. Today I took my husband for Father's Day, and it was amazing. Who knew that this gem of an attraction is hidden right next to the back parking lot behind Savage Mill. You do have to be in somewhat good shape to get the most out... More

When I asked my daughter what she wanted to do for her 16th birthday party, she said she wanted to go to Terrapin Adventures with her friends. They did the high ropes course and giant swing and had a blast. I really appreciated that the staff took photos and shared them with us. All the girls had a great time... More

We were honored to have you. It's a great course for service men and women. We often have military groups for team building and they tend to come back with their family and friends for fun. We truly appreciate your service and your taking the time to review our course. More

Wonderful place. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, who know when to make jokes to keep the pace lively and when to give you a peptalk to help you accomplish your challenge. Clean place with beautiful scenic views. Had a great time today with friends and our kids. My three boys ages 8, 14, and 17 all had fun and didn't... More

So glad you enjoyed it. We often list specials on our events page or we post them on our facebook page. This way you can try out some of the other programs we run like kayaking trips or the upcoming Mud Run. More

Terrapin Adventures sold a "Kayak, Zip Line & BBQ Lunch Tour" through Zozi last April. I took advantage of the discounted deal and bought four tickets. The tickets expire on Oct. 1. Yesterday, I tried to book my adventure and to my dismay, they are only booking ONE DATE for this adventure, which unfortunately we cannot make. How can you... More

We have had three open to the public kayak bbq tours since the Zozi deal and have open dates on August 3, 10, and September 7th. We also tell people that if those dates do not work, to call us to see if we can arrange a mutually agreeable date. More

Instead of fighting the crowds this Memorial Day weekend in DC or the Inner Harbor we visited Terrapin Adventures in Savage MD and a fun time was had by the entire family. Mom and Dad as well as our 13 and ten year olds enjoyed the zipline adventure as well as the large "swing". Having done ziplining in the past... More

My daughter and did the big pkg $83 for 4 hours and included all things. The guides were good, but there should have been a better way to manage the "back ups" with the people, I don't know if it was over scheduling or what. Also I was surprised about how much upper body strength was needed, and I'm not... More
