The fact that a town like Salisbury, Maryland, would have a zoo at all is pretty remarkable. That it would be so delightful and enriching is, indeed, extraordinary. There is nothing flashy and almost nothing exotic about it. Virtually every animal is native to the Americas. The zoo is beautifully maintained and the animals are well cared for. It is... More

Awesome zoo And free to boot. If near here this should not be missed. You will enjoy this one but it is small. Ample parking bathrooms and a few spots to eat as well.

The Salisbury zoo always makes for a great way to spend a couple of hours. The grounds are well maintained. They offer a variety of animals. The otters are sure to provide a laugh. The baby bear is precious. There are plenty of birds. Once you are done visiting with the animals there is a great playground for families with... More

My granddaughter and her boyfriend from Ireland were spending time in Salisbury. We went to the zoo one afternoon. What a delightful ad relaxing way to visit.

Small town zoo and playground. Perfect place for a stroll and a great place for kids. Very well kept and a lot of variety of animals to include a tiger, bison and bears.

Nice little zoo, for free its fantastic, the place needs a little help and donations I think could go along way into helping this, The flamingos were the brightest color I have ever seen, and I use to work in a European zoo.

What a great morning! The Salisbury Zoo and nearby park and playground were very nice, wooded, shady, clean, and well-maintained. Lots of beautiful birds, and adorable animals from a baby bear to prairie dogs to a fat and happy iguana, and much more. The playground was good-sized with an elegant misting station and very pretty mosaics leading you to the... More

I have been to the San Diego Zoo, the National Zoo, and the Pittsburgh Zoo, and for a free small town zoo, Salisbury is AMAZING! Jaguars, monkeys, birds, bears, bison, wolves, eagles, otters....all in a nice setting next to a park and playground. We visit regularly just to stroll around and watch the animals.
