Fun tasting

We visited the winery, which offers tastings for $1 a piece and flights for $10 per person. We enjoyed the staff favorites flight and bought two bottles to take home. The woman... read more

This is must do when visiting St. Michaels. We stop here every time we visit and although I know my favorite is the GollyWobbler white, I enjoy trying the other wines. I find myself liking others but keep going back to the white. Our hostess was very knowledgeable on each wine and gave many options for mixing them, should you... More

St. Michaels Winery makes great wine, and although they are most famous for their sweet fruit wines, they have excellent traditional reds and whites. My fiancee gifted me a trip to St. Michaels mostly so we could visit this winery, but it was a letdown on nearly all fronts. We visited on a very cold day in March and the... More

We enjoyed our experience because we were the only patrons there and the staff member was very talkative and engaging. The wines lack much character and body to our tastes. We did buy one Seyval and the Chocolate Zin as something different and tasty for dessert.

My husband and I took a day-trip from Annapolis (on vacation there) to St. Michael's in early April. We are from the NY State Finger Lakes Wine Country and I always make it a point to check out wineries (or buy a bottle of local wine) in the various vacation locations that we frequent. We stopped in at the Saint... More

We visited the winery, which offers tastings for $1 a piece and flights for $10 per person. We enjoyed the staff favorites flight and bought two bottles to take home. The woman who did our tasting wasn't very knowledgeable, but it was her first day. She read from a sheet to talk about yhe wines. There is a cute little... More

We happened on this winery & shop while heading to our hotel. Well what a treat. We stopped on the spur of the moment. Found a terrific white wine there. They also have some unique shopping in their gift shop also. It was so much fun! They had alot of great wine. St. Michaels White was great. Cost is $1... More

Early last fall we took a trip using a Groupon that we had blindly purchased and it ended up being one of the best day trips I had ever taken. The customer service was exceptional. Whether it was a wine selection or things to do in the city nearby; the personnel were so friendly. They were telling us who to... More

I wouldn't go out of my way to return to this winery. But if you're already nearby it's probably worth checking out. The staff is friendly and the value is good (with or without the Groupon deal), but the tasting room was crowded and there's very limited space to sit and enjoy your purchase. The point of wine tasting is... More

The wines here are better than average for Maryland wines. I enjoyed the tasting and probably would have picked up a bottle or two if I did not have a cellar full of Napa wines.

If you live in Maryland, St. Michaels is the perfect place to go for a day trip. We went in Summer 2014 for the day and had a wonderful time. Our first stop was St. Michael's Winery where we sampled many different wines and enjoyed the atmosphere. The place was crowded and so we had to wait for a seat... More
