Six of us took this cruise today. We all enjoyed it. It was very interesting seeing all the places along the Miles River, hearing the history of the area and seeing the Osprey nesting on the navigation markers. Two elderly people were able to get aboard the ramp, one had a wheel chair and one a walker. The staff were... More

The Patriot is one of the best things to do in St. Michaels. My husband and I are locals and whenever we feel the need to be on the water we go to the Patriot. Beautiful scenery, friendly and very informative staff and just plain fun! We love taking our guests and they have all enjoyed it too. Somehow, everything... More

We weren't going to go on the Patriot Cruise, but our hotel package offered free tickets so we decided what the heck. I'm so glad we did! We had such a fun time with the captain (who also owns the vessel, so he cares about it and his clients). It was a super windy day on the upper deck and... More

We managed to secure senior tickets to this "ad-hoc" pre-season cruise at 2 p.m. on April 24, 2013. This cruise made a special foray into narrow parts of the Miles River, taking advantage of the higher than normal tide, and the narrator showed us many beautiful waterfront residences, explaining the history of the area as we cruised. The vessel was... More

My wife and I went for a cruise on the Patriot, a ship that sails out of St Michaels, Maryland. The boat left St Michaels harbor and went up the Miles River for about a 1 and 1/2 hour cruise. Comfortable seating on board, lots of beautiful sights and wildlife seen during our trip. The captain was great, very friendly... More

My wife and another couple took a VERY fun, interesting and informative cruise this past Saturday of Easter weekend. The Patriot is a great ship with both indoor and out door seating. The Captain is a wealth of information on the area, both historic and current. We saw Osprey nests and a deer swimming across the river! This is a great... More

We took what was literally the first cruise of the season on the Patriot. Had a very interesting ride. The narration on the history of the area and the Miles River was informative and the Captain pointed out several historical mansions and places of interest on the river. We got to see some osprey nesting and even a deer swimming... More

My husband and I were recently in St. Michaels celebrating our first anniversary and had comlimentary tickets for the cruise. We really enjoyed ourselves, even though it literally was a "cool" ride:) Captain John and his wife were very cordial and knowledgable about the area and made the overall experience wonderful!

I join other reviewers in highly recommending this little cruise along the Miles River. We were staying with friends in Easton who took us last Sunday. Entertaining and instructive. Very friendly and relaxed crew and captain. The bar makes a mean pink gin which as I'm from England was much appreciated! Bonus for us was the fact that the ship... More
