End of the road

There is nothing at the end of the road on Tilghman Island except a fabulous view. Drive out for a peaceful panorama of water and trees.

Great views of the bay. If the gate is open, go all the way to the end for a bettwer view of both the nbay and river.

Was expecting to see more. Only found docks and fishing charters. Nice drive but could have been skipped.

I enjoyed the sighnts around the island. To me watching a real drawbridge was really cool. I loved my visit there

Many people visit St Michaels, but few venture 15 miles beyond to the end of the peninsula and Tilghman Island. It's well worth a visit. Tilghman is a working island with an active seafood fleet operating mainly out of Dogwood Harbor and a small Waterman's Museum showing the history of commercial life on the Chesapeake. It was pretty in a stark sort of way on a chilly showery April day. We saw a fox and an endangered Delmarva squirrel and had a brief walk along the shore. We weren't expecting much so were very happy with the experience.

Nice views by the Naval lab. Fun watching the container ships. Wild life everywhere. Nice little spot to slow down and enjoy life.

It's all about the views of the Chesapeake, but there wasn't much to do. Pretty for a drive. We also stopped by the grocery store and bought some of the yummy cookies.

Wife & I spent the weekend in St Michaels last fall. Though we had to leave for home on Sunday, it was such a nice day outside that we decided to find a place for a few hours of kayaking. The hotel staff highly recommended Tilghman Island Marina which was only a short drive from SM. So we loaded up... More

Took a drive here. Absolutely beautiful. Very cold & windy day, to my surprise we saw deer on our way. Drove all around, very quaint.
