I love walking around the little shops and eating there but I don't think the parking is adequate especially for the library. Both the Olney and Gaithersburg libraries have been closed for renovations and I had to use Rockville; it is not convenient. A Thousand Villages is a great little shop with fair-trade items from around the world.

The city has put a lot of money into creating a place to go and spend precious free time. Right now there is a huge construction project underway that has cut out parking and is a visual eye sore. The restaurants are only so so. The Japanese place is decent but a bit expensive. I have to give a shout... More

There are several excellent restaurants in the Town Square and interesting gift shops and boutiques. The area is small so it is easy to explore the streets and have a bite to eat.

This is just a couple streets of restaurants and shops. Very nice. They have a no car area with a fountain in the good weather. It is just a pleasant place to visit.

It's a great place to go and hangout, even at night. Yes, you don't get the full "Opened until the dead of the night" kind of hours like you would in a city, but you can still hang out to a reasonably late hour at the bars. You can bar hop if you truly wanted to. Not only that, but... More

Downtown Rockville has been re-developed as a wonderful urban setting. In the winter, there is an ice rink and in warmer weather there are outdoor music events. The area has a large number of restaurants to choose and a great toy store. There is also an execellent organic market - Dawson's - in the city center. Parking garages are available... More

We haven't tried the skating but most of the restaurants are wonderful. During the summer the Square has outdoor concerts and various entertainment.

While visiting my kids in Rockville, I can easily take the metro to the Town Square with my granddaughter in her stroller. We can visit the library, hit a pastry shop, visit a few little shops in the area like the Toy Store and Ten Thousand Villages and she can play on the green area.

I visit this town center maybe every other month. During the nice weather it is a nice little walk around but not a ton of stuff to do. It is kid friendly and has a water fountain area in the warmer months and kids can play in the water. During the colder months, there is an ice rink. The stores... More

This city is still growing. The town has constantly tried to attract customers. The shops are finally able to be browsed and the parking is better. The library, brew pubs, restaurants, movie theater (ice rink in the winter), and Court house is right here. So you can get a book on "how to pick up girls" bring her to a... More
