the boardwalk was covered with 6" of snow & ice, with only a small path cleared for walking & shopping, the FFries place was open & busy and a few arcades were open but not too many stores open.

The OC boardwalk is quintessential Ocean City. Can be super crowded during the busy season but there's something for everyone there. Some of the classic OC businesses on the boards: Thrasher's Fries, The Kite Loft, Ripley's Believe it or Not museum and of course the rides at the inlet. Nothing is cheap there! But people watching is free. Can be... More

the time to hit the boardwalk is in the fall when it isn't so crowded. Sept is best because the kids have started school.

The boardwalk is the place for those famous Thrasher's French Fries (whose secret is that they are cooked in peanut oil) and it is the place to go to watch people. There are benches lined up along the entire stretch of the boardwalk which give you a great place to sip your handmade lemonade, eat your fries and take it... More

It's a fun place to ride your bike early in the morning and take a stroll late in the evening. Prefer to go after the summer rush. Only wish they would keep it as a family friendly place and do away with the pole dancing (let's save that for the back street bars).

The boardwalk itself looks fine, the town did some nice things with it. My complaint is the tacky looking shops that pollute the view. I would never step foot on the boardwalk during the summer season again. When I did it was disgusting, people in this town can complain about that pole dancer but believe me there are worse problems... More

We enjoy the boardwalk mostly in the offseason, when we take our dog walking and we can enjoy the beautiful ocean and sky scenery as well as the various restaurants and snack shops.

Always a great time and family friendly! We enjoy walking up to the far end and taking the tram back after dinner! Plenty of restaurants along the boardwalk and right off the main drag. It is also fun to go there during the winter time. Obviously there are fewer places open but the ocean breeze and view from the boardwalk... More
