Our family tries to travel to Ladew Gardens every year! No matter when we go, there is always something new to see, and lots of beautiful flowers, insects, colors, and topiaries to enjoy no matter what season you go during! We have so many scrapbook pages of these gardens because of its beauty! The price is reasonable and allows you... More

Gardens looked phenomenal. Really enjoyed all the plant vendors, especially Meehan's Bonsai, Peace Tree Farms and Lovely Manors. I plan on making this an annual event

After discovering the book "The Life and Gardens of Harvey Ladew" I had to see his home. You realize what an extraordinary live he lived and the extraordinary times he lived in. To have the freedom to travel, ride, collect and create - I can't imagine how wonderful it must have been. It's a peek into a bygone era of... More

This garden is like a hidden jewel in Monkton. Truly beautiful garden and topiary (bushes shaped like objects and animals). One of my favorite parts is the iris garden which has a stream flowing through it. They have concerts in the summer by the water fountain.

This was my first time at Ladew Topiary Gardens and I was very impressed. I've been told I should go another time in spring or summer, to see all the grandeur this place has to offer. We included a tour of Mr. Ladew's house and our guide was very informative. The tour lasted an hour, so give yourself enough time... More

This is a review of the accessibility of the garden. It is so inaccessible, that I felt that the women who sold me a ticket should have given me a warning when I rode up on my scooter. Only a small portion of the garden has paths. Most of it is across lawns that are mown too high for a... More

Ladew House and Gardens is a delightful place, definitely worth a visit. The gardens are presented as a series of theme gardens, some of which have fountains, sculptures, and topiary. The fox and hounds topiary scene near the Manor house is utterly hilarious and mirrors Mr. Ladew's love of fox chasing. You'll discover more about his hobby through the tour... More

If you have any appreciation for gardens, then this is a must-see. The entrance and parking are well marked. There is a sign directing you to the visitor's center/ gift shop where you purchase tickets. They supply a map, which guides you through the various gardens. The house tour was extra, and photography is not allowed inside. When I went,... More

We really enjoyed meandering through the Ladew Topiary Gardens on Labor Day. We arrived a little after 12 and were lucky to get on the last 3:00 pm house tour as it was pretty crowded and sold out. It's $5 extra to do the house tour, but we found it really worthwhile; you get a real sense of the man... More

I loved my visit to Ladew Topiary Gardens. The gardens are wonderful, with creative topiary and beautiful water features. It would be well worth visiting during different times of year when there are different plants in bloom. I enjoyed the whimsical touches throughout. The nature walk provides a welcome change of pace, and though the gardens were well attended on... More
