Almost too large and too complex to be understood in one visit. We visited in July and many things were blooming, others had bloomed previously. The site map provided visitors was helpful and actually necessary for one to get a handle on the most complex landscape with dozens of garden "rooms." Many, if not most, of the plants were labeled... My adult daughter and I visited for a couple of hours on a lovely breezy day. What an incredibly gorgeous place. The various gardens were so well kept, they had different themes and flowers, and included water elements as well as statuary. We visited the butterfly house which was also lovely and had native butterflies and caterpillars and even cocoons.... More

This was a great day trip. Beautiful topiary designs and gardens. Many different settings as well. A tour of the house was a history lesson on the latest owner. Quite interesting to find it was a single man who had furnished the house and laid out the gardens. All of it was just lovely. And to take a lunch break,... More

The Gardens are very well kept up. Approximately two years ago they've changed the lay out. They provide many classes and tours that elevate the services.

Ladew Topiary Garden is an amazing display of gardens of all different colors and styles and the opiates are incredible. The tour of the house is a very informative way to start the self-guided tour of the grounds. Be sure to have someone point out the butterfly eggs in the butterfly house if you've never seen them before. Long pants... More

It's really tough to rate LTG as average, we spent alot of time here and there are some amazing sights. The water fountain is so pretty and the steps that lead up to a little hidden spot behind the bushes with a little table and chair. There are unkempt areas and you hear the traffic buzzing past. I did see... More

This place and history is magnificent. The topiaries (bushes shaped into objects/people) are fabulous. There's always something new to see each year. Ladew can be viewed in one afternoon, however, it's large enough to spend the whole day. Take a picnic lunch, take the kids, take your mom and grandma. Something for everyone. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Step back... More

You'll never tire of visiting Ladew Gardens. Open April through October it always seems fresh and new, given its wide variety of plantings and many blooming seasons. Uniquely divided into an impressive number of "rooms" (Rose, Berry, Victorian, Woodland, Iris, Waterlily, various colors, etc.) it encourages return visits of varying lengths over the entire year (members have access beyond the...
