This was my second time skiing and my first time at Wisp. I loved everything about it. We parked at the top of the mountain and received our lift and rentals there. The bottom of the mountain is more crowded. The green runs are wonderful and I felt very comfortable. The North side of the mountain was my favorite since... More

This was our first time at Wisp and it was pretty great! The lift lines were short and the trails had tons of snow on them! We had a blast exploring all the different trails. And for $30 bucks for a night ticket during the week, that's a good deal! I will definitely be back!

Went skiing at Wisp over MLK weekend with 6 friends. We had a horrible time trying to get lift passes and rentals at the top of the mountain. After paying for both, and waiting nearly 1.5 hours, we found out that they were out of skis and boots at this location. We were instructed to take a shuttle to the... More

Online it appeared they had a military discount but when I arrived was told there was a heros weekend last weekend and 'that's all they do, they really don't support the military'. My local MWR tried to get discounted tickets and was told they weren't interested. Lift lines were short and skiing was good for a Friday. Lift operators aren't... More

We had a group of 11 with 2 families. Mostly intermediate skiers and boarders, but one beginner. We were there 4 days. The weather was extremely cold our first three days but milder our fourth day. Most of the trails were open, and the conditions were very good. We didn't have many icy spots at all. Lift lines were short,... More

Super fun hill for all levels of skiers. Trails are long and well groomed. Enough room to spread out when you come in.

Ski Wisp is about a 3 hour drive from Baltimore. We had 10 in our group with 6 kids ages 2-13. There were great hills for beginner skiers, but limited hills open for advanced skiers. The black runs seemed to be mislabeled in comparison to most eastern resorts. Ten runs were open during our week long stay Dec 27- Jan... More

My husband and I visited Wisp to celebrate our Honeymoon. We were excited to tube together for the first time. However, on our 2nd trip down the hill, I had a major wipe out. We both felt we were traveling way too fast and that the slopes should NOT have been open to the public that evening. I left there... More

We came to Deep Creek Lake at the “between season” – mid November right before Thanksgiving. Not cold enough for skiing or tubing (although they were making snow like crazy) and not warm enough for water activities. The only activity we wanted to try was the Mountain Coaster. Unfortunately, we got behind a large group and it took over 45... More

Even though is was a cold and drizzly day, we had so much fun here. The kids loved both of the rope/zip line courses. (Ages 4,8, 11 and my husband) But the best was the mountain coaster! We went twice and could go 10 more time and it would still have the same thrill as the first time down. Can't... More
