My husband and I had signed up for the beginning white water course with River and Trail. Upon arriving (on a chilly day) I was very thankful that they had wet suits to rent. They even threw in some other splash top or water guard! Our instructor was Dave and we were lucky to have our own private lesson with... More

Toni met us at 2pm and helped launch our canoe into the Shenandoah River after fitting our PFDs. She is super. We paddled upriver for a mile and one half and let the current take us back while we ate our self supplied lunch. Scenery is beautiful with a lot of aquatic life to view. Take an ice chest.

This was such a fun day trip. Three friends and I went on a brilliantly sunny day in mid-September and went through Class I and Class III rapids, which were fairly mild because the water is so shallow late in the season. There weren't any sections that felt dangerous or even particularly risky, and we did spend a lot of... More

After taking the Basic lesson, a friend and I took this 4 hour lesson on the Potomac. It was terrific...and most helpful! Our instructor, Jerry, gave us lots of tips for improving our paddling and for reading the river. We got to experience some small rapids that helped inch up our skill level and, for myself, greatly increased my confidence.... More

My wife and I had a great day on the River. We took the Discover Whitewater Kayaking course and our instructor Dave did a fantastic job making us feel comfortable. A perfect blend of the basics and adventure. All the staff members we interacted with were very pleasant and accommodating. We are looking forward to taking the swift water lesson... More

We met college friends for the morning rafting trip on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. Maury was our guide in the boat and was an excellent teacher for novice paddlers. He did a great job managing the raft as well as providing stories about the history of the area. Shawn was in the safety kayak and did some neat tricks... More

My wife and I decided to take a last minute trip after our concert was cancelled. We called the day before to book the trip. No problems at all. It was only the two of us plus Jack and Mark (the Guides) on the morning run. Jack and Mark were excellent guilds, had us through the rapids and got a... More

Went tubing on the Potomac at harpers ferry. Beautiful scenery. A few fun little rapids and lots of lazy river floating. Great for a hot day. The bus driver terry was very friendly-- gave us instructions and tips on the way and had kettle corn for the group after the ride.

We went on 8/30/14 and our guide was Robby, aka "Captain America." Robby was great and did a wonderful job! He was an excellent guide and a great conversationalist! He had great stories and was very knowledgeable about the area. We worked well together and he kept us entertained the whole trip! Would absolutely recommend and will be back in... More
