We had a great time! It was a four hour adventure down the Shenandoah River to where it meets the Potomac River. Beautiful day, well coordinated and our guide Justin K. was terrific! I'd highly recommend it and I'll be back again!

I've rafted twice with these guys on our company rafting trips. Both times Justin K. was our guide and I highly recommend him. He knows how to navigate the rapids, tells you some history of the significant places you'll pass, cares about the safety of his passengers, and he laughs at my jokes. 10/10 would go again!

Did the tubing with my kids and husband. It was just the 4 of us, no guide. You don't really need one, maybe in the beginning as you get in the water to show you specifically how to control your tube rather than before you get on the bus. I will say this by far was the hardest thing for... More

Spent a wonderful afternoon Whitewater rafting on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers with our 10 & 12 year olds. Lots of in-water time for the kids and safe for beginners. River & Trail were great in outfitting us for safety and our guide Tim kept us on track in supporting him. Tim also offered great historical perspective to our travels... More

Spent the afternoon kayaking down the Monocacy with river with our guides Christina and Katy. My kayak started taking on water and Katy was gracious enough to swap out kayaks with me. It was my first time kayaking and enjoyed it very much. Afterwards went to the Barley and Hops for some brew and a tour of the microbrewery. Very... More

Had a fantastic time with my 13-year old whitewater rafting the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. Our guide, Toni, was awesome and was a wealth of information. We were originally scheduled to go tubing, but when that was cancelled we had the option of rafting. Glad it turned out that way as the added adrenaline rush made it more fun.

First of all, I am sorry that part of your party has lice, what an inconvenience! I wanted to ensure you that we clean our helmets with Tide and "Sink the Stink" after every trip. In addition, the incubation period for lice is 7-10 days. If you rafted on July 17th and got the lice by 7/21, it seems you... More

My partner and I went to River and Trail outfitters where we could park right where you get out of the water with the tubes. Each time we got out of the water we could reapply sunscreen and grab a snack. The bus continuously shuttles between the drop off and pick up sites so there is no waiting for your... More

What a beautiful fun filled day on the Shenandoah River! River and Trail has a waterfront location where you park and then they bus you 1.5 miles upriver and drop you off with your tube. The length of time it takes you to get back depends on the current that day. For an extra $10 a person you can then... More
