The promenade was very nice the day I visited. It is clean, well made, and sturdy. There is a nice snack shop at the beginning nearest the marina and the playground. The other end has a neat lighthouse and inviting lawn as you sit on a bench and contemplate the the sights and sounds. Lots of visual appeal.

Havre de Grace is a hidden gem I disvovered when I moved to Bel Air, MD. It is on the water and is a very old Victorian town with little shops and restaurants. There is a beautiful lighthouse, decoy museum and my favorite boardwalk they call the Promenade. There are seats and informative signs along the way describing the war... More

Nothing more relaxing than to walk along the waterfront. The Havre de Grace Promenade takes you along the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and the Susquehanna River. You can watch the boats on the water and see the ducks up close, as they swim near by.

Just off the water , this scenic little wonder is not to be missed. The menu is full of surprises like fish and corn on the cob.

There are so many better places to go then here.. The water smells, and the people are rude. Its just a place i won't return to. Getting there takes you through some sketchy areas, if you get off the path you may find yourself if a bad area. Its NOT clean, do yourself a favor and skip this one!!

I drove up to Havre de Grace to meet a friend for lunch this week. It was a bright, sunny day although windy and cold. I was surprised at how the town seemed so much like a trip back to the 50's with a historic district containing small businesses such as an art supply store, family bakery, independent book store,... I recommend a slow stroll on this promenade, the ducks and the bay are worthy of your time and attention. Havre de Grace is a wonderful place to visit and live, I will spend more time here. The "Main Street" area (Washington Street) of the City is a must to also visit.
