This is definitely a gem in Havre de Grace. Walking on the promenade you learn about the history of the area with the Battle of 1812, enjoy the natural environment and wildlife and view the sailboats on the river. Definitely a gem!

INothing special here. Barely a town and dumpy. Handful of restaurants. Promenade is not very long nothing much here. Not worth day tripping to or stopping off for.

Havre de Grace was one vote away from being our nation's capital! What a fun and quaint town full of history, great restaurants, and antiques! The Havre de Grace Promenade is a boardwalk winding around from one park to another on the edge of the Chesapeake Bay. Before 10:00 each day visitors can ride bicycles on the boardwalk--that's what we... More

Great place for an early morning stroll , with a cup of coffee. View of Susquehanna Flats and River are great regardless of weather conditions. To get ready for the day in a peaceful, introspective environment.

My husband and I were blown away by the sense of beauty and quiet we experienced. The lighthouse was lit up from the ground and there were quaint lamp posts along the promenade. There was also a beautiful marina. It's a fairly long walk but you can turn back at any time, although, I don't recommend missing any of this... More

Walked over here from town after dinner on a Saturday night. Looks like it was all finished and had lots of benches and places to see the water and the Concord Lighthouse. Very nice area and we got lucky to have wonderful weather with low humidity to linger and enjoy it!

Havre de Grace is a great walking city whether it be up the colonial type streets through past shops & restaurants or along the waterfront Promenade. From the Promenade, you can visit the marina, playground, lighthouse, decoy museum & much more.

This is a great little place to sit and relax as you drive to or from the Virginia shores. The bay is so peaceful to watch as you stroll along. There are quite a few benches to just sit, relax and hear and hear the waves softly break on the rocks.

It is always such a nice walk along the Promenade. It was low tide, so a bit icky in the water. But, it's a bay. I like that they have a sign showing the native plants they are workinh with on the bank redevelopment. We often take family here from out of town. And we are from PA!
