Visited in the off peak season when they give you a discounted entry. Were really surprised at the variety of animals and that there were often opportunities to interact with them in a way that most other zoos don't allow. For example, we could actually stroke Rhinos whilst they were feeding. Not something you get to do every day. There... More

We (me, partner, 4year old and 12month old) love it here! Amazing day spending hours wandering around feeding animals and watching the elephants! Brilliant day out!

We booked our tickets online before we visited and saved ourselves some money plus time queuing getting in! We arrived at 10.30 on a Saturday and it was already busy! We took a 18 month with us and she loved seeing all the animals. We choose to see the main animals first as we thought it might be more busy... More

Visited on a warm May Day and had a fabulous day out! So much to do. Variety of play areas indoor and out (the hay barn was a particular hit!). Animals in lovely large enclosures, one of the best zoos I have seen. My boys (7,4 and 16 months) had an absolute ball!

We live locally and have never been till today amd what a great place to visit. We bought an animal adoption for a birthday present in January and it was lovely to see the birthday girls name on a sign on the enclosure. Lots of attention to detail the place is spotless and lots of amenities. The enclosures particular for... More

Great to see a zoo which still has the classic big animals (elephant, giraffe, lions, tigers, rhino, etc.), and has them in fields, so you can for example watch elephants plucking fresh grass with their trunks). Like other zoos it also has the smaller stuff (meerkats, gibbons, porcupines, and many others). The keepers give interesting talks. If it's busy take... More

Our children brought us the zoo keeper experience with the big cats. Despite leaving at 5.30am on a horrible wet and windy day, our big cat experience and the whole day out more then made up for it. Anna the Keeper was fantastic, very friendly knowledgeable and what experience up close with the big cats, a day not forget. We... More

We took our 15 month old son here and had a fantastic day. The selection of animals is brilliant, there is a lot of space so doesn't feel crowded. They have a time table to go to see different animals and hear all about them. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is lots of space for a picnic... More

This is a very well-kept site, and animals look cared for and happy. So much to see that we couldn't do it all in one day. Lots of things for toddlers to do there, including indoor soft play, and they are even able to feed the baby lambs with a bottle at certain times of the day. Lots of picnic... More
