I booked my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. The experience was classy from beginning to end. Caution - don't get off at the Amtrak station! We asked a local for directions to the train station and ended up at a cement building by some tracks. After reading the reviews, we are so glad that we skipped this attraction. We visited Cumberland because we were nearby & were so disappointed in the town & couldn't get out of that place fast enough. My kids didn't even want to walk down by the railroad station & look around because the place was so industrial & seedy looking.... more
